Crazy that Dustin really had a wrestlemania match with Piper and is still having quality matches now.

What's crazy is Dustin and Dusty lost a Royal Rumble match to Ted DiBiase and Virgil. Dustin has feuded against Larry Zbyszko. He's tagged with Steamboat and Barry Wyndham (Bray Wyatt's uncle and namesake). He's feuded with Arn. He won his first title from Steamboat... If anything, it's crazy that he was already probably 8 years or so into his career when he wrestled Piper, and he can still can go.

At this point, I don't think there's anyone in the business that truly deserves a world title run of ANY length more than Dustin. The man's put in so much work and paid at least 3 or 4 average careers' worth of dues. Should've been a Lou Thesz Press. Moments like those are reactionary and so for me to armchair it is a bit bullshit, yet I see that could've been an opportunity to have a series of various callbacks to wrestlers before resetting the actual finish. I don't know if the ending was an unplanned botch (jumping over a 6ft4 guy is though even for an athlete like Claudio), but I did not mind it actually: to be honest, more matches ending out of the blue following just strong signature moves (the uppercut in this case) would help create more unpredictability in the flow of the fights.

I've watched the old Dustin Rhodes in the old WCW and he was a rugged no-nonsense type of dude long before the Goldust/ Black Reign gimmicks now seeing him now he's moving as if he's never aged look's great on him

Honestly what a good convert of taking the botch, Arn begging Dustin to end it, and he looks confused like "that's not how i should win" & then gets Claudio-ed. RUN WITH THIS as a story! It can work

Those botches were totally fine they added more realism the pile driver basically looked like an alternate move and the leapfrog was totally fine I think an odd collision here and there adds to the match

Obviously not with this thumb nail you chose. How about not asking a question in the title and spoiling it with the thumb nail?
