Chapter 2 Season 2 was amazing. I had no problem with it being long. The locations like the rig and the grotto were amazing. The battle pass was brilliant. The Deadpool collab was absolutely awesome. The season was the best chapter 2 season ever. It was beautiful. It made me go back to the chapter 1 days. I never had more fun in my Fortnite days. I miss you Chapter 2 Season 2, and farewell Chapter 2. You will be missed.

c2s1 was meh c2s2 was great, kinda long but I loved playing with my friend c2s3 was ok but there was no storyline c2s4 was absolutely amazing and as a former mobile player, had to move to switch. best decision I ever made c2s5 was kinda slow but the event was cool c2s6 was awful, I don’t have any words to describe it c2s7 was ok, at least it was better than s6 c2s8 - i know a lot of people want it to end already but personally this was the best season for me to grind 20 levels in a single day

Man chapter 2 season 2 was probably one of my favorite seasons of all time behind chapter 1 season 5, it felt fresh, unique, and different with the new concept of bosses and mythic weapons added throughout the map. It felt exhilarating to defeat a boss, grab their weapon, loot the vault, and escape while evading other players and made me feel like I was in an action movie. On top of that the tsunami storm at the end of the season was something that we never seen before and changed the way the regular storm worked completely. That was one of the only seasons that I felt had a similar spark to what we would feel in chapter 1.

The locations of season 6 were good, but they all removed the cool map additions the others gave, not good. All of the seasons changed that same map location and the middle island, changed the grass and thought it was cool.

A lack of new content is not what makes a season underwhelming in my opinion. Chapter 2 season 2 was one of the best seasons ever. A few reasons why I think this: how all the bugs of the new mechanics were fixed, the battle pass was iconic with Midas+meowscles+Deadpool+more, the new POI’s were awesome and had mythic weapons so they never really got boring even though the season was long. I actually enjoyed that that season was long because it gave us more time to play that version of the game which was just such a solid peak version

The Agency was at the middle, where the zero point was located, so that’s why it changed. Stark Industries would’ve made it very difficult for rotations like from steamy to center. However I do agree on The Grotto and Salty Towers. I also want Ghost House, The Fortilla and Butter Barn back too

They probably couldn't keep Stark Industries because copyright and collabs and stuff like that. All the marvel stuff HAD to go by the end of season 4. And the centre of the map is always changing so anything on it probably couldn't stay. Plus, what would they do with the Agency if they kept it for more seasons? They'd keep changing it with the season, maybe a sandy agency in season 5, a primal one in season 6, and a destroyed and derelict one in season 7 and 8. Also, the grotto is currently receding the water. It'll probably be done by the end of this season or next season (if we assume we get season 9 next)

nah man it wouldn't work well with the pacing of the game, as the landings would be too large, with a merely 100 players it will feel terribly slow. In my opinion, the game has heavily improved itself from chapter 1. Its only the nostalgia factor why i feel so close to home when i think of chapter 1. Ultimately, fornite did a incredible job reviving the game from the hell end of season x.

In my opinion, the problems with chapter 2 were: 1. Lack of updates: During chapter 1, we got frequent updates, weapons and new mechanics being introduced mid-season. Chapter 2 however, gave you most things at the start, and only added 1 or 2 things mid-season. 2. Map changes: With chapter 2 came map changes like the flood, desert, primal biomes and other major changes. But they were only temporary. But with chapter 1, the major map changes were kept throughout the chapter, and gave the map more variety. 3. Season durations: In chapter 1, season ran for about 10 - 12 weeks each. That was fine, but the seasons this chapter were all over the place. Some were 16 weeks, 13 and season 1 was 18 weeks! I think the best length for seasons would be 13 weeks, so long as we get more content throughout the season.

I'm hoping that epic chills out on the Collab's, I'm fine with a few here and there but its just to much, They need to add some original skins. Also they need to make more map changes like you said, the game is very dry with no POI changes. I also would love consistent updates like they used to do. I do think that epic has learned and i believe this next chapter will be better than this one.

I can still feel the nostalgia... I definitely agree with the different biomes, we had arctic, desert, we had even some sort of forest with Japanese culture built into it. Chapter 2 for me felt really great but like you said, they lacked that feel with different environments, and I totally forgot about that until you said it.

I mean, technically we did get a bunch of different biomes, like the flooded, zero point desert, primal, New york city, alien, and now corrupted biomes. Just not at the same time really. I personally think that these two chapters were a sort of experiment where Chapter 1 was designed to be crazy while Chapter 2 was designed to be less crazy and more mild with a focus with quality over quantity (less live events, but way better ones in general, for example). And then see how we react to these two Chapters so that with this information, feedback and data, they can take the best of both chapters for Chapter 3

The ONLY reason why my friends and I still play is the introduction of the reboot van and revive mechanics. Otherwise, it was someone died, restart, someone died, restart. C2S4 with the marvel was by far my favorite, so many unique abilities, fan favorite skins, and me saving wolverine is coming at us. C2S2 second favorite, with the Grotto and Oilrig POIs, the vaults, the toilet/garbage/haypile transporters, undercover phone booths, miniguns and prox mines. Chapter 1 was a blur to me. I really only remember Lucky Landing, Borderlands collab and Gotham City towers.

I have a feeling that Chapter 2 was severely damaged by the way Epic did it. Seasons 1 and 2 were I feel like epic just had to get used to the way they released updates and such. And the map barely changing might be because they weren’t sure how to go about it. I’m pretty sure that this map is somewhat larger than the OG map making it a little difficult to drop massive biome changes and such. However I feel like Epic will have learned a valuable lesson by the time we’re in Chapter 3 and will be more comfortable with the updates they drop. So hopefully, Chapter 3 will be much better than 2

The first season was super long and basically untouched with updates because we got a flipping new map and a whole bunch of new features. Epic expected that we'd take a long time to get used to it all since back in Chapter 1, we'd be raving about a new item and making videos about it for weeks! "New shockwave grenade? 30 new videos over the span of 3 weeks! New Map and stuff? Probably 10000!" - Epic Games, 2019... And then we decided to only make a single video on a new thing and then "Ran out of content". I also have a personal (conspiracy) theory that these first two chapters were sort of experiments to see how we'd react to having a) a chaotic, content packed, "Spicy" Chapter and then b) a more calm, organized and less crazy, "Mild" chapter, then with that information, data, and feedback, they can get the best of both chapters for chapter 3. That's my idea anyways. Either way, even if the next season/ chapter isn't as good as we think it would be, atleast make sure your feedback is known and clear, your feedback won't do any good if it's just incoherent screaming about how bad this new chapter/ season is with no explanation why.

IO guards were easily one of the top things that killed this game. You play a battle Royale to battle other players, not fight Bots, IO guards, dinosaurs, and wolves for the majority of the match. Most of the time you don’t run into actual people until the final circles.

I think the reason behind the lack of map changes this chapter is because they focused on the collabs more. Also during the first Chapter they didn't plan to change the map ENTIRELY, so they instead were changing some pois or adding completely new ones because that was its priority back then. But that's just my impression about it. Either way both pretty good chapters and I'm hyped to see what Chapter 3 brings us and how the map will look~

What really set me off about chapter two was the gameplay changes. AI (something that I still despise because they ruin the flow of the game) Mythic weapons (could be cool for more newer people but I got used to guns not really needing to be special) Those stupid superpowers from mid chapter two (Again would be cool for newer players but as a guy who played hours of just shooting people how would you feel that instead of having a gunfight a guy thored your head, it just ruined what was so fun about fortnite) Lack of diversity in weapons and poi’s (the main reason why people wanted a new map in season X was because the map was getting old and was getting bloated the map was a mess it looked like a Xanax overdose, the weapons and new items were getting old as well they were clearly running out of ideas but really I would take this meth trip over the boring chapter two map and weapon progression any day.) Just the game in general (it didn’t feel like fortnite it felt like what DICE did with BF 2042 just trying to shy away from what made chapter 1 so good but while doing that lost their touch on not only the fanbase that loved their game so much but their self awareness and communication to the community.) Chapter two didn’t feel like fortnite, chapter three does.

And we'll 6 was lackluster and I think to most people downright bad. Just my take on it though, I think people would prefer content spread out especially for the start of C3 if that's what's next anyway. The start of C2 was real slow and I don't just want something like the harpoon gun being our only content update. Also weapon attachments were leaked or rumoured I can't remember, so we should *hopefully* see them, of course with vehicle mods too. I have high hopes for C3, I've heard one time that they're going back to graphics that look more similar to C1, or a hybrid of 1 and 2, with models of trees for example looking more similar to one. You make a very good point about the map changes. There's a concept in cognitive psychology called the "fan effect" where the more memories you make about a single thing or event, the harder it becomes to remember specific details because that one event will fan out to multiple similar memories. For example, if you take the bus every day to work it's going to be hard to remember what happened in the morning on a random day. But if one of those days you took a taxi, that day would stand out way more. Same thing with the ch2 map. The map didn't change enough in a significant way that made me feel it was a different map. Ch2 map was same old, same old with a few extra goodies thrown in each season.

some things I prefer about ch1: - back then we had updates every week (ch1) - we had original fortnite emotes, at least not everything was collabs and icon series emotes, today only some trash emotes, but for example I really enjoyed the breakdown or just the original fortnite emotes that fortnite thought and weren't icon series emotes or collab emotes - the community got much more based on building and the fights don't even feel like a shooting game with building feature, more like a building game with shooting feature. - nowadays every fight is at least 90% building and 10% shooting, it was much better to not have to be a professional at building and you could even win with a good aim, when it was 60% shooting and 40% building, it was much better, don't false understand me, I have no problem with the competitive side of fortnite, but you know I think this 90% building and 10% shooting belongs into arena and in pubs the 40% building and 60% shooting sounds more fun suggestions to fix it: - hire more developers to have more content - hire people to have original ideas for skins or emotes - nerf/remove turbo building in pubs, in arena don't nerf it

I’ve gotta disagree. Season 2,3, 4 and 5 were all better then most of the seasons of chapter 1. The map was also changed substantially. Season 1 changed the whole map, season 2 added 6 poi’s and the best mythics, season 3 also added multiple poi’s and some decent mythics, season 4 added the whole of stark industries, season 5 changed a huge chunk of the map, and added the zero point crystals and sand tunneling. Even season 6 changed the map considerably. Chapter one season 4 added a crater and some small changes. Season 5 added a substantial amount with the desert biome. Season 6 was a decent change sense they added some cube stuff. Season 7 added the snow, season 8 added the jungle, season nine added 2 poi’s, season 10 i honestly can’t remember much I didn’t play that season that much.

I honestly think the worst seasons of the game are seasons 1 and 2 due lack of content, season 3 was also nor great. Season 9 was one of my favorites though and I did enjoy season X. Chapter 2 had mostly good seasons with my least favorites being 1 and 5 but I still enjoyed 5. I think chapter 2’s only major flaw was the map changes getting removed the next season. I think chapter 2 was overall just better and every season had it’s shining moment and features. Looking forward to chapter 3!

Ok, just to clear the fact that I’m not being bias, I’ve been playing since mid season 3 of chapter 1. As far as having fun and good memories, chapter 1 is easily the winner. But if we’re talking about the game itself, I think it’s undeniable that chapter 2 added way more. Almost every season added a completely game changing feature, with npc’s, bars, swimming, mythics, crafting, and a whole lot more. The only thing that makes people think that chapter 1 is better than chapter 2 is the nostalgia and good moments, but in content, I would have to go with chapter 2, better graphics, DirectX12 support, DLSS, etc. And all the new items introduced in chapter 2 that we all use would be so hard to let go if we just went back to chapter 1 so in my book, chapter 2 had a rough start, but came back strong.
