It’s funny as a low handicap golfer (5) and having been off scratch in my younger days I’ve never given much focus to the ball (granted I would never play a ddh or molitor 🤣🤣) but I did find this interesting. More so with the wedges than the longer irons!!! Great video Surely we should now be expecting a breaking 80 video 🤣🤣🤣

I find Pro V1s make a nicer plop sound when they go in the water. You just don't get that with a slazenger.

At the price of prov1s that plop sound better be in stereo surround sound.

First off - as always enjoy the content!! Have to comment that in this case, the balls evaluated are all great balls but are really a better fit for a lower handicapper as balls at a lower price point that have decent feel around the green is all that is needed for mid to high handicappers, and hey this game is already expensive enough! One thing I do every so often is play 18 holes, using 6 different balls, 3 holes each. That way I can narrow down what is working well for me and I'll go with that ball.
@Cesar-Avila2 жыл бұрын
I’m not gunna tell anyone how to spend their money. But also there was a case done that higher handicappers actually can shave more strokes off of 18 holes compared to scratch and single handicap golfers
@droylsdenblue3 жыл бұрын
Thank god for that, I’ve just bought a loyalty box of 48 prov1x balls, I’ve noticed I can be more aggressive when playing into greens as I get more check using these balls. 18 handicapper.

I was the type of golfer who had the definition of a mix match of golf balls in my bag but I decided to clear out and only have a few brands. After several rounds of testing I have settled on the TaylorMade TP5 range (with preference of the TP5 pix), VICE pro plus and Srixon AD333 when my swing doesn't feel great

Regardless of whether you want to get fitted for a ball, the advice of using the same ball makes sense to me and it's what i do. I've no idea if it's the "best" ball for me but I can learn how it behaves and work with that.

Kinda surprised you didn't try (or show you tried) the TourSoft or TourSpeed and such. I gotta tell you, some of those mid-range balls from them do really good jobs and don't cost $50/dozen... seems like you got sold on the most expensive ball they make! But I agree, the ball fitting is definitely a good idea.. and if nothing else, staying consistent when you play. Pick one and stick with it!

As much as I'd love to get a ball fitting, and would probably use a Pro v1 or Pro v1x, the main benefactor for me (as a lot of golfers would be) is cost. Some rounds could cost me £12 in golf balls haha.

Anyone saying Titlest was “just trying to sell balls” and “why didn’t they give her a Trufeel?”Yall, Those balls are terrible. Why, because they don’t have Urethane covers. No one who is serious about scoring, even if an 80s or low 90’s player, should play a non-urethane golf ball. Non-urethane balls don’t hold greens and you can’t stop them with green side chips when needed. You don’t have to play the premiums like Pro V1/x, AVX, or TP5/x or chromesoft/ x. Cheaper urethane balls like Srixon Q-StarTour, or Taylormade’s Tour Response are just as good and many times better for mid handicappers because of their low compression (low compression like AVX without the price point). Some might say, “I just played 18 and shot ______ with a trufeel” (or any other non urethane ball), or say that their ball spins when they need it to. Ok, well keep playing that ball and when you short side yourself and hit a perfect chip that runs off the green…. think of me.

Interesting as Pro v1x is the harder ball not softer. Would you change if TP5/X or Callaway Chrome soft worked better for you?

I totally like the idea of a ball fitting., having had one in the past. However how can it be a truly comprehensive fitting to find out which Titleist ball best suits a player when not all of their balls were made available. If the guy suggests that you need the softer urethane cover to get that required control, which the firmer ionomer covers don’t give, then why do they manufacture other balls which by the fitter’s comments that control would not exist.
@davidballard97812 жыл бұрын
I’ve heard about this ball fitting my only concern that this is all about titleist balls and not other makes of balls so my question would be could you only find titleist rather than other makes to have a ball fitting with

Jazzy it was interesting to see the process but it would have been better to see the range rather than just the premium balls, the reason, I can't justify paying £15 more for the pro v range then the Tour Speed/Soft that I play and I honestly prefer these two over the pro v1 I have hit. Good luck with your choice👍🥰
