The fact that there are soooo many people who doesn’t like the ending .. i can’t understand that. They really wish for them to die bc the king fell in love with the guy. I mean, yes he played a huge role, but for me it was just that the guys soul opened the kings eyes. He somehow pushed the king to understand the queen. I loved the ending, i mean everyone was happy in the end. Yes the king missed something, and i loved that scene tbh. But i wouldn’t say he just fell for the man. The drama was amazing and the ending too for me. And your edit is chefs kiss!! I want to watch the drama again :D

thank you for watching! 💜 i would say people who don’t like the ending are the most ridiculous one. i loved the ending too!! i mean come on, the king was already in love with the queen a long time ago before bonghwan went into the queen’s body and just like what you’ve said, bonghwan only helped the queen to stand out infront of the king. i like the korean version ending even more better than the chinese one.

@@AugustMoonchild yes!! Also so many people wanted the chef to stay in her body and I’m like „did you even watch the drama?“ .. the chef always wanted to go back to his life. Yes he cared for the king, and he wanted him to be happy, but that’s it. In the end everyone learned something. All were happy, why can’t the audience also be happy :D but good to know that there are a lot who liked it too

Watching this again after all the crisis befallen this drama (that was being withdrawn), Shin Hae-sun and Kim Jung-hyun, now I feel like feeling deja-vu. I feel like crying, yes crying my lungs out. They deserve recognition, not accusations and scandals. I feel so bad for the actors who put their best effort in this drama. Justice for #MrQueen, #KimJungHyun and #ShinHyeSun

The chef knew his history. To watch it twice you get a different perspective. Such a tragic story in real life. Also good to know that the queen historically had no clan loyalty.

every series, movies and books has a story to tell and message to convey. i havent watched the chinese one and didnt know how it ended until mr queen ended so didnt do any comparison or expecting to end like same way. anyway, what im trying to say that i love mr queen, comedy aside it has a lot of deep meaning. im just sad people cant see that because theyre too invested that this was going to be a BL haha which is i sincerely dont mind but thats not the point of the story. my heart hurts everytime i read mean comments toward SY character. like why? TT she has the purest heart tho (oh kim hwan too haha) i love the comment section so much and i feel happy that there are people who has the same sentiment like me. i like the ending and the series so much. thank you so much for making this MV, its beautiful. *heart *heart.

There is Here I Am ost which is obviously telling story abt kim soyong's feeling towards king. You guys just dont easily lead this drama as boys love lol. Its isnt. There is no soul exchange at all between soyong and bonghwan. It just soyong's soul who hid inside her own body n let bonghwan's soul control her body. If its really soul exchange bonghwan body will never in vegetative state, he will awake n living as soyong soul will be inside his body. But thats not how it works. Soyong soul never left her body.....

You're absolutely right! Really have to pay attention to the dialog and how the queen expresses herself in the different situations thoughout this drama. Shin Hye Sun is such an awesome actress and perfect for this role. She can capture Bonghwa's masculine traits in Soyong's body but also shows us when Soyong's soul comes alive and shakes things up from time to time...such as slapping herself when she kissed Cheoljong and realized that it was Soyong's doing. Loved this drama...amazingly talented cast!!

Since the King removed his prejudice on Soyong, he has gradually fallen in love with the dual(?) character which is half of Soyong and half of BW. The guy had led the whole character in this drama until being shot, but we don't know exactly how much SY had involved in the relationship with the King. I guess, the rational part would be under the BW's control, while the emotional part would be under the SY's control. Therefore, whenever the king shows his affection like hugging or kissing, the queen(SY&BW) cannot reject his affectionate embrace with full confidence. I think, sometimes we often make us to get into big trouble whenever we are totally immersed into negative emotional state. Right? So, through this drama, I can learn somehow new way of thinking myself by imagining like this: if someone(who is very different with me) comes into my soul like the queen, how differently I can response to any situation?

i agree the most with you. i also think the person who goes into someone’s body will act mostly accordingly to the owner’s feelings & thought. bonghwan was going along with soyong’s feelings towards the king because he had no choice as he’s totally inside soyong’s body. the heart belongs to soyong. bonghwan was never in love with king at the first place. we can see that when bonghwan return to the future and yet he didn’t feel sad at all when he leave the king.

for chinese ver maybe yes but not really for korean ver..the king was in love with kim soyong at the first place. the guy inside soyong’s body (bonghwan), doesn’t have any feelings toward the king. he doesn’t even feel sad when he left the king. bonghwan’s romantic attitude towards the king was led by kim soyong’s romantic feelings towards the king.
