Some have asked the question regarding the skin colour of Imam Al-Redha (a) (8th Imam of the Ahlulbayt). Sh. Mohammed Al-Hilli answers #ImamReza #ImamRedha

I disagree that it is irrelevant. It is very relevant. 'Until the colour of a man's skin is of no more significance than the colour of his eyes......' The conversation must begin if there is to be true unity among the Ummah and indeed among human family. 🤲🏽🤲🏽🤲🏽

I am surprised whoever asked this question. Does it really matter? We have other important issues to discuss not the skin color of Imams.

Exactly 👍

I imagine it would be important for scholars to know this when looking at history because I think there might have still been slave trade at the time of the imam (not sure) but if that is true then it could affect the perception of the Muslims and be one of the reasons Imam Ridha (a.s.) was rejected. Scholarly research values this information I am sure. Maybe not relevant for us who don’t study history and biographies of the imams peace be upon them.

Imam reza in the painting 'The guarantor of the gazelle' is supposed to depict what an artist saw imam reza in his dream. Imam reza in the painting looks white whereas historical accounts suggest he's dark.

Race shouldn't matter in Islam, but unfortunately it does, with Sunni or Shia, if you want to know how much racism there is, ask a black Muslim, any black Muslim. I don't care which imaam was Black or not, their message is what we should focus on. So sad that this is STILL a very relevant topic in our society. May Allah bless us with guidance. Ameen

Agreed, there are no problems with race in Islam but instead come from the culture, alot of people would discourage or forbid their children from marrying people outside their country or race which has no relation to Islam

The Caucasian definition of white skin being superior comes from the area in Iran / Persia bearing the same name. So it is very possible that many of the raiyats about skin color were fueled by Persian writers with a superiority complex.

Hazrat Muhammad e Mustafa SAWWS was described in Shia and Sunni Sources as Azhar in arabic means Fair with reddish rose flower complexion as like his Holy Daughter Fatimatul Zahra SWT Grandmother of Aimma ASWS who was very fair light skin , so what are you going to say now? Ahlulbayt ASWS were Persians? Banu Hashim were Semitic Ismaelite Arabs so caucasians yes , one who deny that can only be Nasibi or Munafiq, show respect to my Ancestors if you are Shiaate Ali ASWS

@@syedfuadmusavi3189 If you think Soorat is MORE important than Seerat, then your outlook is very limited by this. Better you follow some film star. Also, there is absolutely NO question of disrespect to ANY of the INFALLABLES (14). As for the test of your 'sources' are you saying they were also infallable? Also, I have no special respect for any nationality (Iran / Persia etc) based on colour and am the least concerned about your 'ancestry'.
@OldNohay Жыл бұрын
@@syedfuadmusavi3189 And you are STILL stuck on Skin Colour. "Soorat not Seerat". Seerat is what matters most - Soorat is nor even secondary.

What color was Mohamed Al-Nafs Al-Zakiya and where was his mother from? What color was Ali ibn Abi Talib رضي الله عنه? Speak the truth to the people when you answer my question.
