No he is alive, not undead. People always forget the "dead" part of undead. The undead are _dead_ but still move. So no Respiration, eating, defecating, reproduction, repairing of tissue, requirements of specific temperatures and conditions.

One time, I left a comment expressing dissatisfaction with an atheist rebuttal of the Bible, as he had caricatured Christians into being uneducated fools and microwaved and re-served some common atheist talking points. I had some very unpleasant comments telling my that my religion was evil and all about rape and murder. Its projection; only a fool would seek to make fun of something they can't understand

I don't think liches are real now, but I am afraid they will be real in some way after the Resurrection and the Last Judgment. Basically, that description fits well with how I imagine the fate of the unsaved after the Resurrection.

I've taught religious ed (RCC) for a while and kinda stumbled upon a similar conclusion when breaking down the nitty gritty of baptism. In baptism you are united with the Death, Burial, and Resurrection of XP. So your body that was mortal by Original Sin is now restored to Immortality by grace. But *everyone* regardless of baptism will be resurrected for Final Judgement. Yes it's disquieting to ponder. I rolled it off the class as that would be an interesting premise for a fictional Christian horror movie. And it's these tenants of our faith make it easily and often adapted into horror video games. DOOM [1993], Catechuemn [2000] and currently Blasphemous [2019].
