Ultimately, it was disrespectful of Ken to not aknowledge Marquez as the children’s father after he was invited to attend this function. Why invite him just to disrespect him? It was also very tacky to see Trish kind of smiling/snickering during the speech. That must have been so uncomfortable and embarrassing for the children. These adults all need to do better.

Blair is right. Though Ken is the man of the house and should be commended for the role he played within the children’s life, Marquez is the father of those children. To constantly come down on the father may make Trish feel vindicated but the children will eventually resent Ken.

I wish the Black community had more Ken’s! To publicly call out deadbeat dads and the abandonment of Black women & children is refreshing. That dude left them at her lowest expecting her to suffer. That behavior is shunned/unacceptable in other cultures. They would never bite their tongues about the truth and more of them have active father. Your wife is 1000% spot on. Trisha gives Ken the power to tallk reckless because she wants to hurt Marquez, not cause she loves Ken. She is using Ken to show Marquez what she wanted him to do. @ which is great for Trisha that she is smiling more. Also, for the most part, we do not realise how dysfunctional a situation is until we start to mature into adults and put the pieces together. Taunting their father in their presence for entertainment purposes is horrible, even if they don’t have the best relationship with him. If Ken is such a stand up guy, the last thing on his mind would be to drone on about how much of a stand up he is instead of just letting his efforts speaks for themselves. Marquez is not actually divorced from his wife and Ken for the most part is the one intruding on that family, even if Trisha is the one that left the door ajar for him to intrude. There are healthier ways to do things that do not need to exacerbate an already complicated situation.

Geninune good deeds are done in silence. 👏 Kudos to Ken for stepping up and stepping in, I guess. He is pressed by Marquez and Trisha. He knows within his heart of hearts, he came into the relationship messy. It is funny how actions reveal things people are trying to lie and hide. Ken was in the picture with Trisha while Marquez was still in the house. I believe Trisha was chatting it up with Martell while Marquez was still in the house, too. Ken knows his relationship with Trisha is not 💯 solid, which is why he is doing all of this and show boating about it. I hope someone in Ken's camp is having real conversations with him about how he appears on this show. He comes thirsty and desperate to a confused woman using him as a placeholder.

I don't think Ken was wrong. If Ken and Trisha have underlying rules in household and she and kids have discussed their relationship and get their feedback to see how they feel about their dad and Ken its done. To me her kids are old enough for that discussion. Especially her son. Marquez didn't check or try with his kids. When Ken moved in and accepted that package deal thats a replacement 1:16 . It's their house at present time as long as he's paying bills. They've discussed marriage so she knows his mindset.
