None of the ps4/xbox one maddens hold a candle to the ps2 era, but madden 16 is one of the best modern maddens. Madden 25 is the only ps4/xbox one madden I think is better.

at 9:25 in Madden 23 that catch would have been incomplete - the defender would have barely touched him even though he had possession and it would have been knocked out. It's crazy as Madden has developed, its become so much more unrealistic

Madden 16 gets a lot of hate for the OP aggressive catch and rightfully so but other than that, this game was incredible. Maybe I’m biased because it was my first Madden game but the gameplay and animations were solid and Draft Champions was a brilliant addition to the game.

I quit “playing” madden when I became convinced that it’s built to be played as a simulation…with no human input. Madden 17 brought back slow sim that could be selected within supersim. In 16 you could use coach mode or you could move your controller over in play now games. So 17 had slow sim AND the ignite engine. It plays very different using slow sim to watch the games than any madden after it. Considering it’s the only ignite engine madden with actual slow sim. All of these madden slow sim leagues are using later maddens on frostbite. Everything is repeated over and over and over. I’ve found w Madden 17 slow sim franchise on ps5 it’s an intense game to watch every time. Throw the commentary in the trash though. Thanks for the shout floopy

this is the exact reason i stopped playing madden. but i stopped at madden 18. i was wasting money on points and packs trying to make my team good only to watch a video on someone explaining why the games are pre programmed and how human input makes no difference. it made so much sense and made me quit playing. i’m pretty glad i did it would make me rage so much especially on ultimate team matches. the amount of broken controllers lmao

I feel while there is alot of objective scrutiny and praise for Madden 16, the same could be said for Madden 17. As a lifelong diehard Patriots fan; reliving the GREATEST COMEBACK in Superbowl History will always make Superbowl 51 (LI) in Madden 17 soooo much more amazing than sheer mechanics etc. It's our dreams relived at our hands.

I flirted with this Madden being the best for the XBOX One but when I went back and played more and more Maddens from Madden 07 for the PS3. I would have to say Madden 16 is just an all round okay Madden for me. Gameplay was okay and franchise mode was okay. I would honestly say Madden 25 is the best for this gen and up to Madden 22. The worst was Madden 19 without a doubt.

Well you're in the minority if you think Madden 07 for the PS3 was even a good game. Most people agree it was terrible and most people would consider Madden 07 from the PS2 to be the much better game. Having said that, I love Madden 16 and still play it to this day. The Franchise mode is basic, but the gameplay is so fine tuned and realistic that it keeps you engaged. All Pro with default sliders gives you a great game, penalties work, fatigue is realistic as well as injuries. I also love Madden 25, but it's too easy and arcadish.. however the presentation is dynamite..I think Madden 16 1st, and 17 2nd are the best PS4 era Maddens with Madden 25 just slightly behind.

However even tho you don’t read my messages very well I do agree after going back and playing Madden 16 again here recently I like it a lil more but I’m finding out I like Madden 15 the most for the Xbox One gen of consoles. I agree about Madden 25. The only thing that made that game good honestly was the player movement and control was probably the best out of any Madden but saying that I actually don’t care a whole lot of the gameplay. Madden 15 and 16 are nice in the gameplay department. I just like the total package of Madden 15 the most.

I was born in 1979. Nostalgia for me is actually the Sega Genesis Madden's, so when I say the last good Madden was from the PS2 era, that's not my nostalgia speaking. I cannot decide if it is better or worse to be me in that on one hand, I got to see football games be made when there was competition allowed which resulted in us consumers getting an improved(noticeably) sports game every year, but have been disappointed every new EA football release for almost 20 years now(06 was the first Madden that regressed). On the other hand, if you've only eatin bad sandwiches your whole life, if you get a sandwich that is improved, you may not get the best sandwich, but you think you are.

No..that would be Madden 2005, in my opinion. I do like Madden 16 though, actually Madden 25(14)-17 I think are all pretty good and Madden 20 kinda holds a special place in my heart. Not only is my QB Mahomes on the cover and we actually went on to win the Super Bowl that year, but also the gameplay was better than it had been in 18 and 19, and I played it a lot with friends. Madden 10-12 on Xbox 360 are pretty good.
