Tbh i really dont like Nike. I feel like he is one of those people that think they are incredably smart but in the end just talks complete nonsens half the time. Him and teapot also have a very weird dynamic where Nike brings out the worst in teapot.

1: YT content creators always do some sort of "click bait" type of "joke" at some point in their YT career. 2: He's correct, Anet really DOES need to have someone doing community management. Once upon a time, there was. Too many times, they'll say one thing then, do another. Hence why I don't trust in the rumor of GW3, at least not until it's actually released. Here's the issue, how many times have people communicated clearly in the forums, twitch, etc., etc., only for Anet to NOT listen or pay attention to what's being said. All we get is silence. Now, they do give us some things but, let's face it, their lips are sealed, or their fingers are duct taped away from the keyboard. Cheers :)

Like with the WvW changes last patches comming from nowhere being hated by most WvW players including old veterans, gvg players, well all of them, even those that Anet tried to catered towards. Do we get a respons from anet? No. Nothing, no yeah oh shit we messed up a bit here will and did not realise this will create less fights and already have, so we will reverse it or at least change a few things to make it better. We get no answer, there is noone to talk too, so we will just yet again watch WvW take a full hit to the worse, and noone will talk or reason about it. Nothing. We need that! We need comunication that is not onesided. When shit goes so wrong there need to be people to turn to and say listen this was not a good thing and get a discussion going what can be fixed for it to work again and what their thoughts came from and how they came up with this. Instead of waiting months, years, eternity to fix it.

@@darensgw2 Incorrect, he cares about what people think of HIM. Some of the most astoundingly incorrect takes I've ever heard on TeaTime have been when he's on as he seems to bring out the worst in Teapot. Though Teapot alone can make some pretty amazingly incorrect statements like design will fix the issue of Boons and stacking, which is impossible if you want to maintain any sort of difficulty to the encounter unless ANet makes it impossible to do for certain class-combos, none of them amount to the sheer level of /facepalm to me as when Nike is on.

@@nielsjensen4185 I dont even bother with teapot. Dude is so disillusioned with the game that according to him, wow has a better community. I mean being carried by max in raids of course he feels welcomed with streamer perks lol.

@@selenang2006 For me it's less that he's disillusioned and more that he's just so massively incorrect about some of the things he say. One one hand he says that the combat and boon system is good and on the other, he bemoans that the game lacks difficult content without realising that the two are diametrically opposite. Due to the way the Boon system works we're unable to get difficult content. Neither Cerus Legendary nor HT CM are particularly difficult, they're just hard, with Cerus Legendary being tuned to require nearly 100% performance while having some mechanics that if you fuck them up you're done because they're either tuned incredibly hard or will remove too much of your performance to be able to achieve the near 100%. Both use incredibly simplistic mechanics that can be performed by everyone with having to use Utility Skills since if you do your performance would drop to way below the required. The unique Utility system of GW2 hypothetically means that and encounter could be tailored around the necessity to have certain types of Skills equipped that had top be used at the correct time to counter something. Except that the Utility component of a Skill is mutually exclusive with the performance increase it gives. So, that's practically impossible if the encounter is to be difficult, instead, we get encounters that are tuned to be incredibly hard while providing little actual challenge. I think that OLC CM is a lot more difficult than HT CM despite the latter being harder since the players have to react and adapt to things happening while HT CM is just about pushing buttons and being in the right place at the right time. You can learn it by rote memorization.

​​@@darensgw2i would disagree. I think teapot is a troll that cares for people and has enough comedy in his vids and streams to make that obvious. Nike on the other hand is just weirdly hostile in his takes and caters to what i think is a very unfriendly and bitter community.

Its funny but Anet is a small studio compared to say Blizzard or SOE. They are already punching way above their weight to even compete with them. If you total up all engagement across all platforms is not enough to justify a full time position.

Na, I disagree, they are not that small, I feel like the grinding gear games example was pretty well done as they are probably in the sameish size and scope.

Love Nike & yea Anet should be ashamed of the fact that someone could say that and get away with it because people dont know who the actual CM is ... or if there even is one at all
