I am still a virgin at 23. My family didn't wait until marriage for any of their children (counting aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents). My parents, both Christians, but unsaved at the time weren't virgins when they got married. I am breaking the cycle and better yet waiting for my first kiss on my wedding day! My grandma said that I wouldn't make a guy stay with those expectations. I know I have the Holy Spirit to satisfy all my needs in His timing. I'm a guy and I didn't wait; also not married yet. My "number" is somewhere in the triple digits. However, I dated a girl for years who was waiting and we didn't have sex, and that's also not why we broke up. If someone really cares about you they won't mind (unless they're an actual sex addict, which is very rare; I've only known a couple men in my life that I would consider actual sex addicts) and won't pressure you. If someone's even asking you over and over when they know you don't want to, get out. No one should coerce anyone about what they want to do with their own body, period. I would make sure the person knows you're waiting before you start officially dating though, because it's going to be a lot harder for you emotionally to get away from someone who is pressuring you if it requires breaking up with them, vs just not being official with them in the first place.

I lost my virginity at age 16. At 17 I had a God encounter while praying to be made new, and I felt something heavy lift out of me and felt His presence rest on me for the first time. My bf pressured me to do it again but it felt different. I felt God looking at me heartbroken...I suddenly felt like I was so worthy and that no man who wasn't promised to me forever should ever touch me. And I have been abstinent ever since. I'm now 32. I understand the Bible verse warning, "Do not awaken love before it's time." Sometimes I feel an emptiness like my body knows what it's missing and it's incredibly lonely. I do wonder if I'll ever know intimacy within a godly marriage, but God has treated me better than any man. I live my life positively as possible doing the things I love pursuing God promises over my life, and just healing from things I've experienced. Along the way, I hope that a man who mirrors God's affection and grace will pursue and conquer my heart after all this time. Sometimes I feel that is not going to happen, but I can't make my happiness about that when life is so precious! I am just working on loving myself for who God made me to be. I haven't made as many videos as I should because I am working body confidence and often feel insecure but I know I need to! Here is my recent TED talk: kzbin.info/www/bejne/d5eZoot-mMiliJY

I will say I understand you. I kept picking crappy boyfriends and though it never amounted to anything physical necessarily except for foreplay, but never intercourse yet. I always wondered if I ever would have a man who would love me that way. So I started seeing an old friend who was at first always soo kind to me and it eventually turned very hot and we did have a one night stand. But he at least stuck around after for a few months, not do it and leave the next day. Between us was super hot flames. But then I knew he couldn't committ to me, so I went looking and was then led to my now husband, who, well, sex sucks sorta, lol. But we try. And then I found out he loved abd was engaged to another girl who constantly cheated on him and then one day just walked away and never came back. But for us, we wait till our night and as I commented already, that night was amazing. It was finally a sense of relief. Cause I already knew I was to be his forever. So I was ready. But I know he asked God fir a wife by the time he turned 30. And God decided that was ok. So he brings me along, and God tells him This is your wife. Marry her. And sure enough, when he was 30 we married. But when I met him, I then began to quickly lose the thought of will I ever be loved this way. Sure I do miss the super hot fire of my friend I did it with, but I know I can be safe with my husband and someday we may get that together. And it will be 7 yrs Sept 21 we will be married. And that is amazing to the world to be married for even that long. We have visited divorce due to marital unfaithfulness by him. But God has asked me to stay and work through it. And I'm starting hopefully to see the changes and someday, he can be fully mine in a sense. So life isn't easy even when u finally find the right one. But love keeps you going even when u wanna give up.

And i love jesus more than anything in this world...and i do love him too But, if God says no, or that is not right to date him ..then i should listen...but it's hard I feel guilty if i do something like holding hands or kissing ...i just feel that im breaking God's heart and im literally setting myself to failure and shame.... Please pray for me, and for him to get closer to God and to find our purpose that God predestined for us

My husband and I waited until marriage and there are no regrets. We have been married for almost 22 years. Our first night was so awkward though, at least for me. I was sooo nervous about my husband seeing my body for the first time. He always made me feel beautiful but I thought he would only see the flaws I saw with my body. Obviously I got past that and sex was/is great. I think it is funny when those that are not virgins ask, “But what if the sex is not good?” Uhhh…that is the great thing about being a virgin. We get to learn together about what the other likes. We have nothing and no one to compare to, so the sex is special, meaningful, loving, selfless and good.

I just want to thank you for your honesty and it was encouraging to here that it is possible to overcome addiction. Since giving my life to Christ I’ve joined a men’s group at my college called “Finding Freedom” which focuses on young men meeting, discussing, and praising the Lord for everything he’s done and how he teaches us to flee from sexual sin. I truly desire a deep and connected relationship with my spouse. Porn and sexual sin cannot give me that but Jesus can. Thank you so much for the encouraging story and God bless!

The only bad lover is the selfish one. If you’re loving, open, honest & wanting to please your partner there’s nothing bad about that. “Compatibility in bed”.. what does that even mean? Sexual compatibility isn't about performance or comparing with other people. Two people can be virgin's, marry, and then shockingly realize that they are totally imcompatilbe. How? a)Frequency. Usually, in a sexual incompatible situation, one person wants sex much more than the other one. It's not right or wrong, they both where made differently. So either one partner is frustrated not having the sexual frequency that they want, OR the other partner feels like they are "putting out" too much. b) Sex style. My first wife HATED me being aggressive and "in command" in bed. My second wife? She absolutely LOVES it when I'm manly and throws her around the bed like a rag doll.

I’m so grateful that you made this video so that people don’t break their own hearts and go against Jesus’ beautiful design for marriage. I’m praying for healing and restoration over myself, trusting that in God’s timing, I’ll marry my best friend and enjoy sex in the context of a Godly marriage.

@SharkAttack not yet but God is leading and guiding me in healing. I know that in His perfect timing, I’ll find the one that He set aside for me but regardless of when it happens, Christ is my fullness. I’m learning to find joy in His love rather than try seek out affirmation in my own capacity. It happens in small steps. I’m grateful for the journey everyday. Thank you for asking/checking in.🌻
@BernicePuleng2 жыл бұрын
@SharkAttack if what you mean by self-love and intimacy in an emotional sense then I would say that I’m learning to love myself in God’s eyes. Society has a very screwed “self-love, do whatever I want as long as it fulfills me” take and I’m all for rest and restoration and treating myself as long as it enhances my walk with God and doesn’t lead to me being selfish or self involved which I already struggle with. If you mean self-love and intimacy in a physical sense then I’d say that I’m not interested in that. From my own experience, all that teaches me to do is to satisfy my flesh - almost train my flesh that pleasure is about me. It’s really not. Sex is enjoyable but the reason it’s so impactful is because it’s about the bonding of souls, the giving of the self to someone else (who we trust to hold us). Pleasuring myself is too self-focused and it leads me to just want more and more and more. It also causes objectification. Suddenly men just become images in my mind that exist solely for my satisfaction. That doesn’t lead to love. I don’t need experience. Everything I need to learn will be with my partner when we are married. God has convicted me concerning this.
@BernicePuleng2 жыл бұрын
@SharkAttack again, it depends what you define intimacy as. If you’re talking about physical intimacy, it’s one of the first physical urges to go away when the body is under serious threat. That just shows me that it’s something that I’m able to control. Controlling this until I’m in a committed marriage with someone I trust will only enhance the intimacy. It will simply mean more. If you’re talking about spiritual intimacy, I have that. If you’re talking about emotional intimacy, I have that too with a multitude of great friends who emotionally support me. Our society is obsessed with sex. It’s out of control. It’s at the point where children are being exposed to it way too early. Where I live, you should see the pregnancy rate of literal children. You should see the statistics for sexual assault. You should hear about the loveless stories that my gal pals have told me about their first time experiences. As I said, I feel convicted of this. I’ve done a lot of reading in the Bible and research within the Biblical context. I believe that God wants me to have the most complete intimacy sexually and so He asks me to wait. I went from out of control, sexualizing everything to being able to control my flesh by the grace of God. You’re welcome to have your beliefs. Heck, that’s the point of freewill but I firmly believe that intimacy is SO much more than society says it is. That’s from living on both sides of the fence.
@BernicePuleng2 жыл бұрын
@SharkAttack why do we call it self-pleasure? Does it serve any function that glorifies God? Have you researched this Biblically? Have you earnestly prayed and asked God what He truly thinks or are you convicted of this belief on your own behalf. I’ve asked God and He pretty much completely took away any sexual urges that I hyped up of my own accord, according to society standards. I know that He will awaken them again when the time is right. There’s an incredible verse in Song of Songs that says, “Do not awaken love until it is ripe and ready.” I believe that both emotionally and sexually. Again, you’re welcome to your own way of life but I’m choosing to live biblically and lead by God after a very long time of not doing so. Thank you for concern on my love life but I promise that God and I know more about what fulfills me than a stranger on the internet. 😅

Nate and Sutton, I have been saving myself for marriage. I'm a devout Christian and my fiance and I are getting married next week!!! I was nervous about having sex with him until I watched this video. Thank you so much for making it. I'd never heard of you guys until you showed up in my algorithm and I'm happy you did! I'm subscribed now and I look forward to seeing positive, loving Christians here on youtube to spread joy!

I freaking love this! I'm 25 and haven't even had my first kiss yet because I'm Christian and waiting for marriage and I'm told ten times a day that I'm making a mistake and should just "live my life" but this video has cheered me up so much and I'm even more happy in my choice to follow God's law 🖤

If it feels like the good decision for you, follow it, but you should try to connect, meet and date like-minded guys in the meantime.

i dont think you should let your religion control you.. like its fine to wait till marrage but that should be your choice. not your religeon or god. you are in control of yourself :)

It definitely feels amazing to have sex with your partner if both persons waited. From the moment of being pure and unblemished, a woman finally submits to her husband out of love by spreading her legs apart and offering her vagina to him. All the effort for waiting will be paid off by knowing that one can finally enjoy an unlimited amount of sex with their partner without feeling any guilt or shame. Because the two bodies have united as one.

I got my first kiss at 24, it's one thing to be in your 20s to wait for your wedding night, but to wait on the one God has at 31 it is a challenge. I've been faithful and know everything God promised me with my future husband and I am really nervous for our first night together. People who are still not married in your 20s it's okay, remember God knows and it's still worth it even if you will be in your 30s like me.
@Arcanon105 жыл бұрын
Those who are married in their early or mid 20's do not have a true sense of how challenging it can be to not have a spouse for years upon years despite longing and praying for one. The lack of emotional, romantic, and physical intimacy is maddeningly frustrating. I have heard people talk about prolonged singleness at 22 and can only shake my head. Regardless of anyone else's experience, however, it is indeed all in God's hands. He may never give a spouse to some who truly desire one while others will have a spouse seemingly just dropped in their lap with little emotional or spiritual effort. Regardless, it is not for us to know God's will outside of what He has revealed to us in His word. And that is to grow in grace and righteousness and in the knowledge and likeness of our savior, Jesus. If we do this, then any challenge in this world, no matter how painful, will be overcome through His grace in us. Stay strong!

It is refreshing to see a young couple, not only save themselves for marriage but, share the importance of doing so with the public. Thank you, both of you are a blessing! I also want to say that your father is absolutely wonderful. By spending time with his daughters through dance, etc, he has shown them how other men should treat them. Nothing less. God Bless!
