It reminds me of one time when a nurse giving me a Covid shot asked me if my suntan was artificial when she saw that my forearm was much browner than my upper arm. The question confused me because, well, no, it wasn't artificial, I had just been outside a lot. The nurse had black skin and I guess she didn't realize how much white skin naturally changes color.
