Yay that was me at 18:03 with my friend! Loved the video the attendance was definitely noticeable from last year but honestly I had a blast for the few hours on Saturday but I think if they keep up from how they did this year we will see a steady increase for sure

I absolutely agree, I think it was just a lot of factors coming together to slightly stunt it, and I expect since it was so much smoother this year that it’ll recover.

It was definitely smaller than i expected, but i still had a great time! Met plenty of people, there were lots of things to do, and always people milling about to talk to. Saturday was definitely the best day to be there. Lots of space for the con to grow into. It was cool seeing myself in your video! I was the sergal woth the cheese

Yea me and my mom where riding up and down the elevator for like 5 min untill someone told us we have to scan our hotel room key to get access to the floors where the rooms are 😭

I showed up early on Sunday right as they opened. Wasn't terribly busy at first, but roughly two hours in it filled in pretty well and was pretty busy! 1st time for me going to anything like this, and I felt depressed as hell the rest of the day afterwards because it was such a positive environment, and I wanted to go back so bad!

Interesting furry convention, It's fun to see the different kinds of furry cons in the U.S and also in different countries. You get to see what activities are there and what they do for fun. Looks like you are having loads of fun and hilarious surprises. I hope maybe one day you get to attend the furry conventions in the Philippines as the guest of honor. I bet you will be surprised at what you can discover.

I thought DenFur was fun, and I liked seeing a couple of people there I haven't talked to in a while, but I found myself not making a huge deal out of being there since I didn't really see any furry I absolutely had to meet, plus it was my first actual in person furry gathering I have been to in a year since my priorities shifted to working on my mental health and I had no friends attending on top of feeling like the con had less attendance than last year. I also have to say I was a little unnerved by having less places to sit, I'm a Denver local who attended and didn't bother with getting a hotel room so I would have liked to have had more seating options that are not the floor. I'm feeling like I would have been more satisfied holding out for Megaplex this weekend since there's furries there I would have loved to have met in person including one that I talk with on Discord, but that's an afterthought now and I wouldn't have had the money for it sooner either way. Right now I'm just wanting to make time to go to furmeets again and hoping to Further Confusion in January.

IMHO cons are much more fun when you have a room to retire to, even if you’re a local. DenFur was good IMO, but like you mentioned, Megaplex is this weekend and I think a lot of people had to choose one or the other, and a lot of people chose Megaplex because of the drama with DenFur and AEIOU last year. Which is kind of a shame cuz DenFur this year was good! It was just smaller, which is fine.

I definitely think it did. That and proximity to other popular cons (like Megaplex). I know a lot of people that decided to go to Megaplex INSTEAD of DenFur because of the drama from last year.

I think the reason why is that last year, there was a rumoured Christian convention that had some karens complain about Denfur, which caused the staff to be rude to the organizers & Attendees, which is what caused Denfur 2023 to be very controversial!

NGL the difference in atmosphere between Denfur 2023 & 2024 feels... drastic. Maybe other guys are going to other cons like Megaplex & TTFC.

That’s one of my big theories. Megaplex in 2023 was WEEKS separated from DenFur and this year they were back to back. That, plus all the drama with DenFur and AEIOU from last year makes me think a lot of people (who couldn’t do 2 back to back) just decided to do Megaplex instead. I know lots of people that did.

Yeah there was one person I know who normally goes to both Denfur and TTFC but because both cons happened so close together, they could only go to one of them
