Honestly, i think the "downfall" of burst is just kind of a natural thing to happen. We've been with burst for about 6 years now. It's time to move on to something new and i think bu ends burst with a bang

One massive benefit of dash drivers i've found for casual play is that it can bring bad layers with weaker resistance up to a more standard level. Some single & dual layers can stand against god & cho-z with a dash driver to keep it from bursting immediately

Spamina was a thing for almost as long as Burst existed (I remember Deathscyther Heavy Defense), I don't think Dash Drivers and Burst Locks had any kind of negative impact on the Burst meta in any way. The ones that benefited the most from these were in fact attack types/attack combos. Edit: For the sake of discussion, I don't think Burst has ever had a true "downfall". It's had some ups and downs, I'd argue the meta was at its healthiest during GT. But like, the Burst experience has remained somewhat consistent for better or for worse. Attack has always been an uphill battle.

i loved the addition of dash drivers, and while the cho z blades and infinite lock systems were pretty cool, lord spriggan and belials burst stoppers felt insanely overkill (yes i know more beys have burst stoppers but those are just what i first thought of)

even if stamina combos don’t burst and have a lot of LAD you can just use another ways to defeat it, a same spin destabilizer or a more KO attacker

Burst resistance never guarantees no burst, also it would make sense for beys with very aggressive and self-burst shapes.

I mean maybe if you only soft launch but my Beys burst plenty even in the final generations. Beys becoming too big for the standard stadium and the DB Stadium favouring heavy stamina types probably did the most damage outside of Hasbro.

I honestly personally think the "downfall" of burst began when they started adding all these different systems like Gt where you could swap the Gt chips, sparking where they added chassis and so on and so forth. Now I'll admit while some of these might've been cool and whatnot it kinda felt a little overwhelming after they started doing so much but that's just my take.

beyblade burst late game and its anti-bursting personally took some excitement out of the game for sure.. but at the same time i just treated it a bit like modern plastic gen.

the anti bursting improved with bu in my opinion, ofc there were still belial cores with burst blockers and stuff but those are mainly for right spin attackers and just like cho z burst blockers it isn’t a guaranteed anti burst by any means

For me, what ruined beyblade burst was 3 things, the dash driver system, the overuse of spin steal, and attachments, wtf is the point of attachments? Just make it part of your bey instead of having to spend $100 for $40 attachments.

Why Volcanic is a good driver is that in 2019 and 2021 Zankye did a video on Perfect Phoenix Outer Volcanic' and Brave Valkyrie Volcanic' 2A and said that it is uncontrollable? When you legally "awaken" it using a Duo Musou Stadium, it will become more free-spinning, and it will stay in the center or tornado stall, allowing it to be used on a variety of Stamina-focused layers. It can beat a lot of things same spin, opposite spin is really inconsistent. This makes for a good stalling driver for Burst GT, but outclassed in the Standard meta.

Bursting never really made attack types more viable. It just made a lot of layers useless. Stamina was always strong (Deathscyther, D2, Garuda, Archer Hercules, etc), but there were only a handful of good stamina layers each system. Instead of every stamina combo in Cho-Z being either Archer Hercules or Perfect Phoenix, we could see a handful of Crash Ragnaruk combos to add some variety to the right-stamina meta. And weak burst resistance also hurt a lot of layers with shapes that would be good for attack (Ragnaruk and Storm Spriggan being prime examples)

I feel like you didn't respond to the statement correctly. The person stated how Beyblade Burst tops are not bursting a lot or nearly at all, towards the later seasons which I hands down agree with. Yes, the infinite lock beys were decent and wasn't too much of a game changer but, were they really bursting? No. Sparking beys with double chassis were hands down not bursting. Even with the weakest chassis on a weak driver, I still struggle to get the beyblade to burst alot of times. DB beys is where bursting came back a little but for the most part, beys were still very hard to burst. Even with guilty as an attack layer can't really burst a bey with the vanish or astral blade. Lastlty, Cho-Z Valyrkie and definitely spriggan didn't burst alot. Yes, cho z spriggan wasnt a big gamer changer and was solid but, was it burstinf alot? Now dual layers and single layer beys, for example, were bursting all the time. Sometimes too much. That's what the person was stating. Also I have great experience with beyblades.

If you think about it burst has been the longest beyblade series ever. The classic was 3 seasons. Then their was metal fusion and metal masters then fury, another 3 seasons. Then beyblade zero g one season. Then burst started for 6 seasons soo yeah thing get boring after a while. Why does everyone enjoy beyblade x CAUSS its new and we went back to metal on metal contact.

The downfall for me was the weight distribution, weight, customisation freedom, and type issues All drivers should have near same resistance, the blades should have the main resistance (not as badly done as GT)
