Absolutely love this one mate, your best video yet and not saying that just because I was there and feature (usually laughing and poking fun 😂). You captured the day so well, not even (or just) the riding but the laughs, the chatter, the sweltering heat and resultant exhaustion, the ten thousand rests stops, everything. This is what a video of a ride should be like because whilst the riding and trails (and damn are they fantastic) is obviously a huge element, it's not what makes them memorable 👍 10/10

Cheers mate, was strange really as didn't expect to get a video from it with how exhausted I was. Think some sunstroke came into play as was pretty ill the next day 🤮🤣 What a great day though, love all the nattering, general waffle and poking fun 🤣 between us all, and of course those descents! Made me laugh, and wince at the same time when I was watching the footage back 🙈 Cheers for being a great guide for us as well, glad I got the last descent in, even if I wanted to curl up and go to sleep on the climb up 🤣 Might have to agree, this is up there in my top three videos for sure!

Great watch mate. Think we all had such a great day. It was interesting hearing about you growing up where you did. What a location your family home was!!

Thanks mate, you that really was one hell of a day, had a bit of everything, including my backside falling out 🤣 Never knew what I had right on my doorstep back then, wish I did but was usually in Ambleside chatting up the Charlotte mason students 🙈🤣

Just such a great video that captures so many aspects of what makes mountain biking tough but ultimately so rewarding. Love the personal element to this as well....taking a trip down memory lane. 👍

Cheers mate, great comment. Always has a special place in my heart Rydal and the surrounding area. Really was a tough day, but totally worth it now I can look back at it 🤣

What an epic ride mate - glad you got over the melt down. I'm sure there were plenty of colourful metaphors flying around🙊🙉Good to see a video from you again👍. I'm pretty sure Jason sent me on some those trails when I was on my way to Scotland from yours. It is a truly beautiful part of the country!

Oh there was a part where my language turned blue 🙈🤣 Yeh this really was a great day! You would enjoy these trails for sure, just a shame so far away 😥 Jason has a few more for us to try, maybe you're over you will be with us 😁

What a tour Christian, that landscape was really beautiful and the place where you grew up looked like a dream🤩. I would have felt the same way, so many climbs on a normal bike, the energy dwindles and you get grumpy, I know that😂. Thanks for sharing and have a fantastic day🙌

Haha tell me about it, those climbs were brutal, that first one was a monster 😭😭 Really was a great day, and wow I miss living there for sure 🤩 Thanks for the comment, have a great day/week 😎

What a great alternative perspective of an awesome day, loved that one, picking up on the day in general, the heat, the chat, laughs etc, the rear view shots were excellent too, showed the steepness, definitely one of the toughest rides of the year, ace video mate 👍

Thanks mate!! What a day it was! Loved it, and despised it at certain points as well 🤣🤣 Love all the chats, and laughs we have, moods included! They are what really makes the day for us all, getting away from all the rubbish of life, switching off, and being kids again 😁😁 All three videos compliment each other well 👍🏻👍🏻

Agree about the insta360 giving a better perspective of steepness as well, really added to it I thought 👍🏻

Great vid Christian! Seen that first descent a few times and it always looks ace, need to get that ticked off at some point. Surprising how much the lakes takes it out of you ey..found that out doing Helvellyn a few weeks ago. The rear cam footage actually does show how steep things are, good feature that pal.
@ElectricMountainBiker6 ай бұрын
Cheers mate, really was a day for everything 🤣Lakes is always a tough one on the HT, Helvellyn was tough enough on my full sus, no chance I'll be doing that on the HT 👀🤣 Yeh, liking the extra angle of the insta as well, really does give a sense of the steepness on reverse cam 👍🏻👍🏻

Love the video! I have a steel road bike but looking to get into mountain biking as I’m sick of cars! What would you describe this type of trail as? I think XC bikes look cool but this trail looks pretty tough for one of those, something with fatter tyres must be better if you have no rear suspension is my guess, thanks
@ElectricMountainBiker5 ай бұрын
If I did this trail again, I would be on a full suss for sure, probably my ebike as well 🙈 Brutal on the HT, it can handle it, but my body couldn't over that distance. Have to add, glad I did do it on the HT, crazy really but chuffed at the same time on reflection. HT also really helps me appreciate a full suss ebike when I do ride it. Enduro bike is ideal for this riding, I just haven't got one yet.
