With that said, it's very important to protect your eyes from those flying particles of rocks as well as wearing a dust mask to avoid all that dust from entering your lungs. I guess these can be had at a hardware store anywhere in the village.

Nasto, it's not a mistake, build up on the tank 6feet above the ground to compensate for the stumbling blocks in the bottom of the tank, you could also consider expanding it another 6feet towards that little tree 🌳 Remember , there will always be challenges in everything we do Keep pushing 🇺🇲🇯🇲🇰🇪💪

We don’t use a mosquito net to sleep. We have few mosquitoes that are outside, but the government sprays for them all during the summer trucks come by with their spray. Also, I live by the beach you might have heard of Myrtle Beach.

Mosquitos 🦟 r everywhere in the especially the countries with seasons during summer time they have very big mosquitos that r similar as big as a bee 🐝 but the difference with those in Africa is that even if they bites you they don't have malaria

Just use cement to cover with stones the remaining rock. I think that’s deep enough then use waterproof cement and rocks and reinforce around the tank, it will work

You needed a hilti...to break those stones..but u need electricity to power the hilti...also the stones can be used the build the walls of the tank with cement and flash and smooth the rocks like how you do the walls of a house...no water will pass thru...That is how I did my water tank in Jamaica.

Nasto, you may need to use polythene before pouring the concrete at the bottom of the tank and even against the four sides as an added protection against leaks and seepages. Best wishes as you seek to have water in your home.

An easy solution for your water tank is to raise it above ground and if you cement the sides and bottom properly it will not leak. Also leave a big enough opening on the top so you can go in to clean it and maintain it if needed. You may have to drain it and clean it to prevent bacteria after some time. And put a screening area to catch and prevent items from going into the tank. That's what to do and the tank will last for years.

If they had the equipment as the well diggers they would not have to break up the stones so small. They would tie the stones and pull ithem out of the hole. I think this depth is OK for the tank.

Everyone should be wearing masks and eye protection glasses. Inhaling small stone particles in your lungs can cause serious health problems later in life. Additionally, accidentally getting stone particles in your eyes can lead to potential problems or blindness. Just my observation. 🤔 Keep the stones for your next home.

Yes we have mosquitos on Jamaica the ones we have here transmits the Dengue Fever which if not treated is just as deadly as malaria

We have mosquitos in RSA but noall areas have malaria, only areas close to Mozambique you can have malaria , (very hot areas mostly )Mostly malaria is imported in RSA , people coming back from their native countries like kenya ,Mozambique, zambia zimbabwe etc, As for treatment , we have repellants that we apply , sprays and treatment when infected, prophylaxis is also available prior you visiting these countries 10days before you go.
