Well-deserved criticism of Gill for promoting himself ahead of Abhishek for opening. Abhishek represents the spirit of fearless cricket of modern day T20 style, by proving himself in 2nd match as well as doing so consistently in IPL. It is very necessary to settle Abhishek in the opening by giving him his platform, so that he does not play just to protect his slot like KL Rahul (which is why KL was not selected in WC squad and I think it truly opened the real potential of Indian team). Gill, you showed today that while you are the Captain, but you are certainly not a Leader. A Leader is selfless and plays for his team and never for his spot.
