PASIGHAT 23 JULY : The WASE President smti Yamik Dulom Darang said that WASE members have been working to stop and control drug menaces for many years.
On 28th June 2024, WASE were informed that some boys are selling Ganja at Jarkong area. Then, WASE rushed to the spot and thereby we found 3 (three) boys who were already intoxicated. All of them plead for forgiveness and stated before WASE members that they will not repeat such acts in future.
After hearing the 3 (three) boys who were intoxicated, WASE decided to call the parents of 3 (three) boys. And all parents were
informed and all of them suggested to send their son to Rehab Center at Pasighat.
Further, it is worth mentioning herein that the wife of the deceased also came to the spot
and suggested to WASE to send her husband (Late Olip Mukerjee)
to Rehabilitation Centre, Pasighat. And also the WASE Team spoke to the mother of Late Olip Mukerjee through mobile phone who also suggested to WASE to send her son at any rehab Center at Pasighat and she also stated that
she will visit her son the next morning.
After hearing all the parents of 3 (three) boys, WASE informed
the Serene Life Foundation, Rehab Center, Pasighat and they were duly admitted at the said center after following due procedures. The mother of the deceased also
came at the Rehab Center and duly filled up and put her signature for admission at Seren Rehab Center on 29-06-2024 at around 10:00 am.
The WASE President Smti Yamik Dulom Darang also informed the whole incident to the officer In-Charge of Police Station, Pasighat on dated 29-06-2024.
The WASE are deeply shocked and sadden to hear the sudden demise of Late Olip Mukerjee. Our Heartfelt condolences on loss of precious life of Late Olip Mukherjee and we pray to the almighty God to give strength to the bereaved family members at these difficult times.

Share the call recordes if it is recovered with proper time and the signature the deceased mother has given at the rehab if possible cctv footage but I don't think that rehab had such facilities. Lastly Two ladies that kept mentioning about motherly gesture and they were in hurry at that time should have followed the proper rule and have done a medical test. As the doctor said that there were no sign of drug use. their motherly gesture led to a death of a person. You guys are responsible for his death as well. Guilty until proven. Period.

In this case, there is a clear lack of awareness from the family, it is your responsibility to counsel such families through yourself or other agencies.
