When you get there, whatever you do don’t let an inexperienced hairdresser cut it.. I had curly hair down to my butt and asked a hairdresser to put in some layers for volume.. I now have a mullet that barely reaches my bra strap 😭

If only my hair could be so manageable... I have low porosity, natural, almost waist length hair and wash days are a BEAST. The products i use must be geared towards moisturizing and manageability of 4b/4c type hair. Using Pantene would make me nervous for fear that the chemicals are too harsh and stripping. But I love living such an easy wash day vicariously through your wash day videos.. lol! 😊

Pantene is loaded with silicones and they coat the hair like there is no tomorrow. I suffered to get the gunk out of my hair, had to clarify clarify clarify and now I stay away from cheap shampoos. Silicones coat our hair giving it the slip but the next day when the hair is dry, it's matted and our curls don't stay and even if we did blow straight with a dryer or silk press, the silicone just attaches to the strands and make the hair drier and eventually we will see breakage. I had a hard time growing out my fine curly colored hair till I changed my product choices. I've tried tons of shampoos and conditioners as well as so called argan oil heat protectant. When the ingredients on the back of the bottle say dimethicone then I stay away from it. My favorite is Biolage, it's a 10, Biotera, Aveda, Paul Mitchell just to name a few.

Strangely enough I used the Pantene Curls line and my hair came out soft and manageable. I probably use their line maybe once every two months since I’m not a fan of silicones in my hair.
