Quick question here. Say I don't want to research too much on what car products or bands I should go for. Can you name a few essential CarPro products from washing to detailing car at home? From top to bottom of the car. Thanks in advance!

Great question! If you really want to keep it simple I would go with this product line using this selection of products I created here with this link. www.carpro-us.com/search.php?search_query_adv=obssssd§ion=product&_bc_fsnf=1&Surface=Paint&Arrival=2017&in_stock=1. The only one you do not need in that link is the Final Inspection Spray. Next, you will want some towels and a mitt and I would use these: (1) wash mitt - www.carpro-us.com/wash-mitts/microfiber-madness-incredimitt/ (1) Drying towel - www.carpro-us.com/microfiber-towels/microfiber-madness-chipmunk-edgeless-25-x-17/ (5) Detailing towels www.carpro-us.com/microfiber-towels/microfiber-madness-slogger-grey-16-x-16/ Wheel Brush - www.carpro-us.com/wash-mitts/microfiber-madness-incredibrush-flat/

Do you need to wash your wash mitts, wheel woolies, or wheel mitts after or you can just rinse it with water?
@SkyCarCare Жыл бұрын
Great question. Because the mitt and tools are basically being dipped in soap and washed as part of their process daily, you do not need to wash them very often... As long as they are washed, rinsed, shaken out after each day used, as part of their normal function then they stay very clean.

2 buckets for paintwork / multiple mitts etc are in my opinion an old-school methods now rendered redundant by pre-washes that remove 90% of dirt from the car in a touchless manner. Sadly in the US this practice hasn't really caught on as it has in the UK, where cars get extremely dirty. CarPro Lift is a surprisingly poor pre-wash compared to the likes of Bilt Hamber Auto Foam and Touchless.. I would recommend looking into these!

We greatly appreciate your feedback Adam! As discussed in the video, you don't always need 3 buckets, let alone need 2. Corey even mentions a single bucket for paint work as his usual personal method.

IIRC Auto Foam has a pH of roughly 13 (That's more than ammonia and is equal to Lye). I'm a big fan of pre-washing!!! As you stated "...in the UK, cars get extremely dirty." BH AF definitely strips and works on "extremely dirty" cars. Note: After using BH AF I always use a second two bucket wash with a pH neutral shampoo to neutralize the residual pH 13 level on the paint. My thoughts: IMHO Unless you have an "extremely dirty" car...Lift is a great choice! It's safe for you, and your existing Last Step Product (LSP).

The issue with BH. Is that you need like half a foam cannon in order to get the right PIR. Also you have to wonder if a product is removing so much dirt what affect does it have on rubber trim and door seals? What you need to try is Koch Active Foam, which becomes almost neutral once gone through a foam cannon yet can remove medium to light dirt. BH is cheap but you need so much yet Forensic followers believe it's really cheap.

@@KiranPatel-fk1pg it's £18 for 5 litres in the UK. You use roughly 3 times the amount as you would a regular snow foam so the value exchange isn't too bad.

@@adblf Your right it dirt cheap, but the videos saying BH is so good and so strong etc is a bit of an exaggeration when you need to use so much of the product. But yeah value wise it equals out.

Is it ok to use Reset on a car windshield coated with Flyby forte? I heard it breaks the hydrophobic properties.
@SkyCarCare2 жыл бұрын
Yes it is safe - no it does not hurt the hydrophobics if used as directed.
