I remember listening to this song on repeat in my car the day my niece was having brain surgery. That was a hard day but this song made the day a bit better.

This song tells a story to me... Two people who were in love but things didn't work out and they had to end the relationship, but still want each other to be happy regardless of how things went. The high notes are like him remembering the good times, remembering the sweet bliss of having a love... But the drifting down into the lower notes is like he's coming back to the realization that it's over and that he misses her deeply, and it fills him with sorrow. The drum beats to me are like broken-hearted, heavy footsteps that just keep pushing on through the pain and stumbling back down into the sorrow of a lost love, while on the path to overcoming it. "I'll miss you dear, but I wish you Good Luck."

@@sandrinepeiffer5763I didn't "develop" it. It just kinda popped into my mind while listening to this after a breakup with my ex. I think in mental imagery and "movies." Not so much in words. Words are just tools to explain what is going on inside and how I see things. That's your opinion. If you think that it's "cringe", then chances are you're a shallow person with no real emotional depth within yourself, that hasn't experienced real love and great loss that has brought you real pain and sorrow. If you had and weren't shallow with real depth, then you wouldn't be saying this. You would feel a sort of connection to what I'm saying on a deeper level. But clearly you don't judging from your comment. Not surprised with how seemingly narcissistic everyone has become these days. Cultivate your depth. Look into a mirror and give yourself a good stare and wonder, "why?"

This was from High Times (I believe originally released in 2009 on cassettes). One of my favorite ocean cruzing tunes and 2nd favorite washed out album/EP
