This album is so underrated. Washed Out straddles the line between meaningful and meaningless so, so well.

Its really good, Floating By is probably my favorite all time track from him now. Only problem is that it is really short.. like 33 minutes or somethin.

I love this video! Ernest and I grew up in the same small town and went to the same school and church. I remember him singing in church on Sundays sometimes! I am a year younger than his older sister and she and I were in youth group together and we were on our school’s dance team, too! Lol! I know pretty much every person in those pictures and videos! So cool to see! I absolutely love his music!

Fèlix agreed. I instantly fell in love with the whole album. But, this track. Man. It just does something to me. Puts me in a good mood. Makes me think back of all the good times growing up, makes me sad. Great great track. Wish it was longer though.

I feel like a camera is able to capture the "golden moment" of the now. It turns to physicality a perfect 2 dimensional slice of the 3rd dimension, and watching all of these slices put together is like peering into the 4th for only a moment, watching life unfold like a flower blooming all in the matter of a moment.

This is so fucking amazing. This definitely gives me vibes similar to groups like Air, Zero 7, Röyksopp, and Télépopmusik. He definitely adds his own feel to that downtempo/chillout aesthetic. This is just brilliant and I agree with the other comments saying they wish this was longer, I definitely do too.

LYRICS So I basically daydream When I'm doing anything I daydream when I walk I daydream when I'm in class I daydream when I dance Next time around I'll watch the words I say Next time around I'll bury my love And hide it away Next time around I'll take it slow And try holding it back It's fun daydreaming, you know You get to be whoever you want And you get to do whatever you like

Has anyone seen this during a live set?! I can not find any footage. I started doubting the chill-wave scene recently, missing the funky tracks of toro y moi etc (2011). However, this album changed all that. Favorite track of a great album.
