Special thanks to Frank Orobello for letting me tour this facility and letting me film both outside and inside
Washed Up Seffner is considered one of the only express tunnels in the entire area, and is one of the best I’ve visited. The property is fairly large and square, which made room for 3 ICS pay stations, a 120’ wash tunnel, and free vacuum stations (number of vacuums is unknown).
The wash tunnel uses all MacNeil equipment. It is equipped with 3 top brushes, 2 sets of rocker brushes, 1 set of van brushes, a pair of wheel boss and gloss boss machines, and a 4 producer AeroDry drying system. Hot carnauba wax and lava bath are applied via MacNeil AquaFoamers mounted to VersaTrans arches which also have LED lights pointed down. Unlike their Brandon location, wheel cleaning is done via MacNeil wheel-rite applicators at the entrance followed by Wheel Boss units which is followed by a set of Magnum wheel blasters. Triple foam in this tunnel is applied in the middle of the tunnel right before the wrap arounds. A MacNeil Magnum arch blasts the car with HP right after being waxed, however during my visit, the arch was turning on at the back of the vehicle, and even after the vehicle passed the arch. The wash material is also light blue and black, which is different from their Brandon location which has darker blue and black pattern brushes.
The chemicals that are used in this tunnel are from Stinger.
Wash results: excellent cleaning, with no real complaints. Wheels came out great, and the drying was average.
Overall, Washed Up is an extremely well ran facility, with extremely nice staff. I’m looking forward to visiting their Brandon site along with their other 3 planned locations.
