Very true. This is what I try to tell people alot sometimes. Even though I'm not a youtube creator myself, I think that the most important thing is that those who does make youtube content does so because it is something that they think is fun and is something that they want to do themselves. I very often see some people that basically are telling the creators how to run their channels and what content that they should make, wich I think is pretty wrong as I think it is up to each creator themselves to decide. If people don't like what certain youtubers do, they could always stop watching their videos and find something else to watch instead.
