I can just imagine the smell. My own dear departed cat, the last few months of her life would forget where her litter was (she was over 20 years old) and would just stop wherever she was. The smell was eye watering. Sadly she is gone now but I don't miss that at all.

Cat pee is an otherworldly smell - one like no other. I can only imagine what that carpet smelled like, especially after you wet it down. Cat pee -- the smell that keeps on giving! That carpet really looks great after you were done with it. Were you able to get the smell out as well?

I think you need to repeat step 21 until the water comes out clear, so at least you mechanically remove the dirt that’s actually in there, because you can see dirty even in your last squeeze in step 21. Great content, thank you!

What a beautiful result, and, wow cat pee is the worst. They usually won't pee outside a litter box unless they are pissed at their people. But a bad habit is a habit still. You've given this lovely rug its life back. Well done, Jakub.

@Vickie-Bligh Most litterbox avoidance starts with a UTI of or other issues making it uncomfortable to use the box like it needing cleaned or another animal making it difficult to be comfortable in the box. Cats don't not use the box out of spite.

@@nestpeeper Baloney. I agree with most of what you say, but stress causes litter box problems as well. And the owner can cause severe stress. I'm almost 70 and I've owned cats all my life. Multiple at a time and I know them.

@@Vickie-Bligh Age doesn't always equal knowledge. Just as stress induced doesn't equal spite, (and before you bring it up I will indoor marking ie spraying is also a sign of stress). Unless there is a health issue I including stress in health, causing litter box avoidance, cats use litter boxes by instinct.

I really like all types of area rugs. Some are just so magnificently patterned and beautiful. Keeping them professionally cleaned is an absolute must at least once a year. Watching how you take care of these awesome pieces of artistry is a wonderful extension of the rug itself. You sharing your profession in video has saved me the complete loss of my mind and heart after losing my father and daughter 10 years ago. I like the fact that you just do what needs to be done in silence and you never veer from the process. The fruits of your labor are perfectly beautiful when complete. Love it.

@jenniferferreira9061 I feel sorry for you, and I have been a catowner for many years. I had three cats at once, but they sadly passed away one by one. Last one in August 2022, and he was a mascot here at LCC for the ruggies. His name was Trollet and he was a brown tabby and a bengal mix! My cats have never peed inside, and I bought a cat litter called Everclean so the odor of cat pee wasn't present at all in my apartment. You have to clean the litter box often, of course! The cats never clawed the furniture either, so they kindly used their cat trees. My first cat was a brown masked blue-eyed sacred birma, and his name was Anakin. I also had a black and white female cat, and her name was Nera. Then, Trollet. Anakin became 17 years old, and Nera and Trollet became both 14 years old. Nera and Trollet were both rescue cats. Anakin was a gift from my husband and the best gift I have ever got in my life! They were indoor cats but appreciated leash walks outside. They are greatly missed!

He keeps saying no because of the cat urine smell. I’m home alone all day. Four years ago our Maltese , Minnie passed. Our landlady has a cat, I play with him all the time. 😊

@jenniferferreira9061 Yes, it's hard to lose pets, and i'm also sorry for your loss of Minnie, too! Both dogs and cats are good pets and a great company when you stay at home. My husband and I have decided together not to have any more pets due to our age, the apartment we live in now, the more costly life in general nowadays but mainly for the grief we both still feel after losing our beloved cats. It's nice that you can play a little with your land ladys cat, and who knows, perhaps one day you will have your very own little kitty 😺 cat!

Im talking from experience here, but when they're heavily urinated like that, you dont have to scrub it as many times as you did. What takes away the urine and urine smell is just rinsing. When you think you're done rinsing the run, rinse it another 5 times, and that never fails to work. It's more work removing that much soap than anything else and less risk of leaving soap residue and leaving the rug feel "sticky" after it dries.

Did you know vinegar neutralizes the ammonia in urine? Its pretty powerful when you're using it, it needs to be rinsed well, but when its dry the ammonia smell is gone... you're welcome🥳

What got my attention: 0:00 I'm glad I can't smell. LOL 0:24 nice smooth unrolling. 1:46 some of the dirt has started coming out with just the first can of cleaning agent, before the scrubber is even brought out. 2:29 yellowish brown foam. 6:17 now THAT looks like pee. 6:37 slow motion goodness. 7:10 lots of dirty water being pushed out with the spray. 11:33 still lots of pee coming out. 13:18 lots of foam :) 14:04 slow motion of Jakub flinging that foam 15:08 flap, flap, flap 17:37 some small flying suds. 18:59 time to water the flip side. 22:51 there's a bigger chunk of flying suds. 25:40 almost forgot to do the flip. 26:33 yes, this one definitely needs a heavy rinsing. 28:08 still brown water coming out as it gets rolled up for the spin cycle. 29:42 przed/po comparison

There is no way that was a cat. More than likely a dog did all that peeing. If that was a cat then its been pissing on that carpet for at least 5 years. They do not have a big enough bladder to produce that kind of pee. Unless they have been doing it for years. Either way the people must have no sense of smell as dog pee and cat pee is seriously strong in smell.
