How bright the rug became!. It looks in very good condition for its age. Well made, perhaps. However - antique means at least 100 years old - LOL! I was born in 1951. I'm not an antique. 🤣🤪

I would not consider a rug from 1955 to be antique, but from 1915, yes.

Technically 1955 is vintage not antique. An item must be 100 years or older to be a true antique. So remember that if someone calls you an antique. Look them straight in the eye and tell them in no certain terms "I am NOT an antique. I AM VINTAGE". Stand up straight give the rudest side eye you can manage and walk away.

It's a visual measure of the length of whatever size rug he is working on . This way, he can center the rug as he moves it for cleaning. I think it's a magnet, but I could be wrong.
