How do I become more efficient on interiors? Right now I’m taking around 5-6 hours for an interior detail. I think my problem is using too many things. I use brushes and scrub pads on everything, plus the air compressor for blowing excess product out of cracks. I hear you talk about just using rinseless and a towel on almost everything, but I don’t know how to get all the cracks and crevices cleaned, and things like dirty leather, with just a damp rinseless towel. All the brushes and scrubbers makes it hard to do the in and out method as I constantly keep reaching for a different brush, air line, or spray bottle. Thanks!

Clarification on legacy sponge… I thought one video it was discussed that the red side is great for incredible suds, but black isn’t great. This video both sides are being used. Clarification on best process with the sponge use.
@diydetailofficial Жыл бұрын
that earlier video was with a prototype sponge. The sponge available to the public now is actually the same foam, just different colors. The colors are great at helping you remember where you've cleaned, so you dedicate one panel to red the other to black, or windows to red... panels to black, or lowers/uppers red/black if that makes sense. Just helps you keep track! Sounds simple but it's actually quite awesome:)

What is normally in your wheel bucket specifically, just water? I've noticed in other videos sometimes it's rinseless wash in the wheel bucket, sometimes it's not. I was just curious what was used in this video.
@diydetailofficial11 ай бұрын
When we wash with DIY Detail Incredible Suds, that’s what’s in the bucket, when we wash with DIY Detail Rinseless Wash, we use that in the wheel bucket. The choice is yours

how often do you flip the clay towel? or Clean it during use?

Once per panel, after four panels, just rinse it out under water and re-dunk it into your wash bucket

@@diydetailofficial does it make any effective difference to rub it on the grit guard with no rinse solution ? I have those fancy “detail guards” with the pump scrub attachment.

@diydetailofficial Жыл бұрын
No, and the main goal for you is to get that taken care of asap. Have you tried a rinseless wash dampened towel first? If it’s freshly coated hopefully you wouldn’t need more then that

@@diydetailofficial I can only imagine what it’s like riding in this thing. I’m so jealous! There was a white one a few miles up the road from me that had some engine work done and it was putting down 1500 hp to the wheels. 🤯 they call it Godzilla for a reason, and it lives up to that name. Hope you’re doing well brother!

Just add multiple wash mits now that you use flip and put aside to wash and you will have the best wash possible.

It might be a bit ocd, I've adapted to The DIY method of two foam methods. I still use a two bucket method and multiple mitts. The GTR is a bad bitch! A friend had one years ago(Now He has a Huracan Tecnica LP640). I really like how it runs, drives and handles. You don't use a leaf blower to dry it?
@diydetailofficial Жыл бұрын

I guess using a brush around the rear tail lights, the vents on the lower rear fenders, around the rear windscreen, the rear diffuser, and the seams on the roof didn’t make the final video. That car has a lot of places that dirt and dust collect.
