We answered a lot of questions in this video. You're also able to watch it run. We've had this plucker for 2 years now and have run close to 200 birds through it. It's worked great! kzbin.info/www/bejne/aHrKq2avrpVgf68

Great job....very innovative. It seems to have more rubber fingers than even the most expensive pluckers on the market. Super job. You ought to be VERY proud of your accomplishment.

So does it work well? Is it annoying when it gets clogged with feathers? Or is it easy to clean out while processing. Great video I'm starting my washer convert soon!
@azaleaacres4 жыл бұрын
My only concern is water plus electricity. Can’t wait to see it in action.
@WoltermanHomestead4 жыл бұрын
Azalea Acres Thanks for your concern. We cover the electrical parts when we use any water. Should’ve mentioned that! We’ll be sure to talk about it in the harvest video when it’s running. 😄

That's a chicken dizzy machine I guess but you gave me some ideas, thanks for the video!👍🏼

Watching Dylan create this was really cool! The kids have fun being a part of the process and it helps them understand how it all comes together in the "harvesting"....the circle of life again!

I have seen folks use the rubber bungies cut down and used as the chicken defeatherer. Just another diy or alternative. Great job folks.

I'm curious to see it in action. My plucker only has the bottom that turns compared to yours that the whole things turns.

I think she should be the narrator and the dude should be the camera guy 🤣🤣🤣🤣but thanks for making this video I had the same idea but just didn't know if it would work because I looked for chicken plucker and they're $400 and up and I'm like man I'm not going to eat that many chickens in a couple of years! So thanks for making this video and showing me that it can be done much cheaper...

There’s another video of the actual process it’s pinned in the comments and on our channel. Dylan said he’d use his hand like a brake. Over all for the money, this plucker has worked well. We’ve run around 200 birds through it, if not more. We had to pluck some feathers here and there. We’ve used it up until this year.

Did you replace that switch with a dimmer switch. Adjust the speed better that away.

I have a functioning washer out in the shed I have been threatening to make a salad spinner out of! Did it perform the way you wanted it to???
@WoltermanHomestead3 жыл бұрын
Yes! It worked so well!! You definitely need to make sure you have enough plucker fingers. We added more for the second round of birds we did. Highly recommend it.

Gotta show it pluck a chicken! Prove your concept. Just cuz it turns on doesn’t mean it can do a good job at plucking chickens.
@WoltermanHomestead Жыл бұрын
We have. There are other videos on our channel.
@claybornlewis2762 жыл бұрын
Well I'm figuring you didn't put a chicken in there because the things going to start wobbling so bad it's going to fall over that thing will never work for the chicken in it you have to stabilize it a lot better than that you know it
@Dddddxx9016 ай бұрын
That would just spin your chicken
@WoltermanHomestead6 ай бұрын
We didn’t let it go completely. Dylan held the chicken and turned it in his hand as the washer spun. This machine isn’t built like the name brand pluckers with the spinning base.
@scottcroft86 Жыл бұрын
Not gonna work if the whole thing spins lol
@WoltermanHomestead Жыл бұрын
It actually works great we’ve put over a hundred birds through it at this point.
