Who are some guys you'd like to see the Commanders go after in Round 1?
@homereapАй бұрын
Omarion Hampton I like the idea of him and BRob splitting time. “Two-headed monster”.
@CarmanMarkАй бұрын
This has to be the year they take an OT in the first and possibly second round as well , Searching the bargain basement for tackles hasn't worked, they should even consider a trade up in the first, as It is that important. Use the ample amount of cap space to address wr, db and DE in free agency but O line is by far the biggest priority.
@homereapАй бұрын
@@CarmanMark It should be but the tackles coming out of this draft aren’t that great. And because Wsh is playing better than expected, their pick won’t be high enough to draft Will Campbell or Kelvin Banks without a trade up. And they already got rid of some picks by trading for Lattimore.
@SaYahSon17 күн бұрын
Love the James Pierce pick, but tre Harris or kyren lacy in the second would've been my pick.
@SwivelHippieАй бұрын
Safety and Cornerback ARE NOT priority in the first 3 rounds. We traded for Latimore, and Sainristil will be CB2... Its WR/ Edge/ Tackle... and a Kicker in the 5th round.
@toryou6Ай бұрын
Hope we get Tee Higgins in free agency. So wr won't be a major need
@steven469Ай бұрын
OT/Edge in round 1 most likely.. can find WR later or in FA most likely. Trenches need to be addressed
@SwivelHippieАй бұрын
@@steven469 Tee Higgins would be nice, but there's no guarantee we get him. I want best available at WR/Edge/Tackle in every round other than the 5th, for a Kicker 😅
@SwivelHippieАй бұрын
@@steven469 Also, this team has invested heavily in the trenches for 15 years now... Kerrigan/Scherff/Payne/Allen/Sweat/Young/Cosmi/Mathis/Newton... it hasn't worked out well. JD needs weapons as much as he needs a Right Tackle.
@Wwyou617Ай бұрын
Corner is still a massive need sanristrill ideally would be the slot so we need a corner 2 ntm lattimore is damn near 30 we need a young corner
@brianmulholland2467Ай бұрын
I have done NO draft prep yet, so these are just names to me. But as a fan of the team, I'll just say that when considering mocking for WAS, one year of experience with Peters at GM tells us he's going to demand guys with impeccable football character first and foremost. He'll do the research. He also seems to favor all-around athletes over specialists. Also note that any WR you draft for this team had better be a willing blocker. It's a big part of why they traded Jahan Dotson away in camp. Dude wasn't a willing blocker. If it were me, I'd favor WR and OL over defense. I think Daniels is in his critical phase of development, and it's important to make sure he has help. Yes we need, arguably everything except QB, but I don't want Jayden to become afraid to push the ball downfield because he stops trusting his guys, or to get jumpy in the pocket because we aren't protecting him.
@washingtoncommandcenter5541Ай бұрын
We do need edge, but I think we need secondary help more since DQ can dial up pressure pretty well, and I wouldn't be surprised if Dallas has trouble keeping Micah after next year with the money they've paid out. I went Shavon Revell, Nick Emmanwori, and Jayden Higgins in my mock. Ezeiraku and Stewart will likely fall because of their measurables along with Collin Oliver with his injury and they're all guys DQ could add pass-rush juice with. Jonah Coleman, Nick Singleton, Dj Giddens and Cam Skattebo are all guys I like as potential Austin Ekler heirs, while Ja'Quinden Jackson, Kalel Mullings, Damien Martinez(and especially Kalen Johnson but you have him going early) are all potential B-Rob backups, even though I think we should hang onto Chris Rodriguez to fill that role. Armand Membou and Hollin Pierce are potential Wylie replacements I like, while it'd be nice to bring back Ricky Stromberg(who shouldn't be out of the league after 1 season with no play), and draft Jake Slaughter to develop behind Biadasz
@evanbell7825Ай бұрын
O-line, WR, and Edge easily. Signing lattimore is huge and Mikey has had a great season so far. (He's not even in HIS position, dude plays outside corner). WR is probably the most glaring issue. Washington struggles to even catch the ball, let alone get separation. Tackle is also a need as they seem to either lack some talent at RT / they're heavily injured. Coleman was a good find last season though.

Dante Fowler is on track for 10+ sacks, definitely need Egbuka
@SillyGoose202429 күн бұрын
That's a pathetic useless garbage way to evaluate defensive ends. First he's not even signed for next year, two he's close to retirement, and three he's not going to be starting much anymore....he's backup quality

yep… Dante may ask for much more now that he’s shown he’s still got it however… he’s got it b/c he does well how we utilize interesting how AP will deal with all the 1-yr contracts

@steven469Ай бұрын
OT/Edge. JD seems like the guy who can pick you apart if you don’t give up instant pressure. Anything more than 3&5 and the tackles require chips. So we can get more dudes out on routes if we can protect. Hopefully we can get a weapon in FA. Trenches rarely get let go by teams.

I feel like Safety is a luxury pick given that the Commanders have picked a ton of safteys the past few years. Corner is a bigger need, given all they really have is Latimore and Sainristil.
@JG-vq6rdАй бұрын
I prefer the PFN mock draft simulator as it allows you to draft all 7 rounds with trades. PFF only allows the first 3 picks without a paid subscription. In PFN, I have never seen Pierce or Mykel, make it anywhere near the 21st pick as they usually go in the top 10 or close to it. From what I saw in your screenshot, I would have gone with Isaiah Bond or Benjamin Morrison. I did not pay too close attention to the #2 pick but Kyren Lacy caught my eye as a potential pick if I missed out on Isaiah Bond with the prior pick. However, I would have been keeping a look out for Edge and offensive lineman/tackles (booker stood out to me but PFF doesn't seem to value him as high as PFN.)
@homereapАй бұрын
I like Hampton for the first pick. He’d be a big help to BRJ. They about the same size. Ekeler is hurt. I like the “two-headed monster” idea in Detroit. The two of them splitting reps and giving each other rest would be amazing.

Love to see them draft Mike Green in the 1st round
@SillyGoose202429 күн бұрын
Washingtons first draft with Peters was decent. 1. They found qb but that was served up on a silver platter for them having the #2 pick 2. So far, the johnny newton pick stunk. Guy gets walked back 5 yards every run play and cant rush the passer at all. Also had a back breaking penalty vs pittsbugh. 3. Sinistril has been very good (although they allowed their rival philly to scoop up cooper dejean) and other picks like sinnot , jean-baptiste, hampton, magee have done next to nothing. Coleman has played LT as a rookie third rounder but is probably better suited inside. Mccaffrey was a high pick but hasnt had much production but has potential

Man if these dudes did their homework they would know we have 2 players with 9+ sacks right now but I do agree with going with Pierce if he's available and 2nd round i would go Brashard Smith he can play RB and WR because we lack speed in the back field and with Ekeler having 2 concussions which put him out for the season we can't really ask much from him moving forward
@andrewpotts5783Ай бұрын
would've went pierce mike green and mbow. can't be overstated how little talent we have at edge with no depth to speak of. in fact what should be depth is starting just Joe whitt and Dan have them playing above their weight class

he is a pass rush specialist. and even then his sacks are way higher than his pressure rate. in an ideal world he is in only on 3rd downs to provide a little juice. @nga7365
