Im really wondering about what Howells future is now with Washington. Seeing Brisset come in 2 weeks in a row and have full command of the offense and have it look like a different team and lead 5 touchdown scoring drives brings a lot to question for me. I mean Brisset is a veteran and has been around and knows a lot more than Howell so it makes it difficult for me to decide is Howell still the future or are we now maybe drafting another new qb? @Edixim_Editz I will agree with those 2 statements, but Eric Bieniemy isn't the 1 out there on the field throwing the interceptions or taking a bad sack when there was plenty of time to throw it away. That's why I'm concerned and wondering what's gonna become of Howell. Seeing Brisset 2 weeks in a row come in and have the offense immediately look completely different, and going straight down the field, scoring touchdowns was very alarming to me. Yes Howell is a rookie and Brisset is a veteran but Howell has been around 2 years now and for this year from week 1 until this last game against the Jets I haven't seen that much progress from Howell. Truthfully, I think he has regressed over the last 5 or 6 games. He's still making the same mistakes week after week, and at some point, that has to stop. He's gotten a little better at not taking a sack than he was week 1, but with that said, he is still bad for taking a sack when he's had time to get rid of the ball. I think Howell can play, and I think he can still be a solid starting qb for Washington but do the owners? Will the new head coach? I mean Washington looks like a lock for a top 4 pick in the next draft and 1 of the top 3 qbs should still be available at that point. Brisset coming in and having the success he had really mucked up the waters, it made Howell look bad or atleast to me it did. It definitely didn't help Howell in any way. So what yall say, does Washington stick with Howell or draft a new qb?

He should be starting but it's probably because he hasn't historically had much success. When he was with the Browns he only had 4 wins before moving to the Commanders and supposedly Howell beat him in practice. I think he's just on the path of other backup QBs. He comes in and plays better so everybody says to start him over QB1 but soon enough he'll fall apart and show everybody why he's not the starter. Still, even if he falls apart he can't do any worse than Sam Howell.

IMHO what it really shows is how a defense strategy can change when a team is winning 27-7. The defense is giving less press and are more worried for the big play giving in exchange more room for the short/medium passes and they blitz much less. This facilitates to move the ball. Washington is just not trying. It's been a long time that I've seen a team tank on purpose like this. They waited until well after they thought the game was out of reach to finally put in Brissett, which was the obvious starter after last week. And it almost burned them. Then took the ball of his hand in the end after he got them lead. They want that 2nd pick bad. And the Jets? They're stuck in mediocrity. And they'll be there as long as Saleh is there. He's a good defensive coordinator, but only a college head coach type. Not a leader of grown man. Or one who knows to make the correct decisions such as choosing the correct QB. Wilson was his darling, and he got rid of a possible starting QB in White and a good young offensive coordinator in favor of the clowns they have now at each said positions. All in hopes of a 40 year old guy they passed over in the draft back in 2005. But life is all about Karma. Just 4 plays in and....
