Kyle Carpenter is the fcking man. In boot camp theres a big evolution where they go over Medal of Honor recipients and read the citation. Its incredible being there knowing these people started out just like us and did these unbelievably selfless acts. But most have passed and there were the interviews and testimony thats incredible to hear. But kyle going out talking about his life, outlook, demeanor though this is different. Getting to really see this guy as a whole. Theres a great interview with jocko willink thats like 6 plus hours, and all of its just....you couldnt ask for a more inspirational guy and really makes me pround to be a Marine. He's simply a national treasure and definitely goes into the books amongst the greatest Americans that have ever lived.

Kyle, I know you probably won’t see this but, my goodness gracious, you are helluva Leatherneck. I appreciate what you have done throughout your recovery. The way you handle yourself is absolutely tremendous. The love you have for your family is tremendous. The respect you have those who have supported you from the day you were wounded is admirable. However, me being a retired Marine, the love and respect you have and show for your Marines and our Corps is outstanding and motivating and inspirational. Thank you. Semper Fi

There's no words to describe someone who survives what Kyle survived, what he sacrificed for his fellow Marine, and to emerge so humble, calm and willing to continue to serve his fellow man. Since reading "You are worth it" the new bar for me is simple. My brother LCpl Ronald Valentin was murdered in Okinawa Japan on August 31st 2018, he wasn’t reported missing until September 5th and wasn’t found until September 6th. The case is still open and the NCIS hasn’t been able to hold anyone accountable. Marines stick together and I just want to spread his story. Sempi Fi, always.
