Washington DC: Visiting the Newseum and the American History Museum!

I visited two really interesting museums in Washington DC. Firstly, the museum of journalism (also known as the 'Newseum') which was all about news/journalism throughout the ages, and then also the Smithsonian Museum of American History which was full of loads of USA pop culture, a mecca for a self-proclaimed Americophile such as myself.

I think people just like making that connection. That changed the world, and I think it’s humbling for people to remember where or what they were doing at that time. Something so simple as cleaning their house in Australia while on the other side of the world a country is being attacked. It’s very grounding that everything can change in an instant
