Kevin.....you get up too early! 😉 But thank you for your insight, thoughts and creativity, well done, well done! 🥰 A foot note: since I have been watching your videos, I find myself looking at the world in a more different mindset....not only do I think wow....what a great painting that would make....I find myself paying more attention to light and how it makes color change as well as contrast and source. Thank you, Mary. Photography for me, has completely changed my perspective of our natural world. In a way it's a pity to recognize and appreciate this at such a late time in my life. Now, where ever I am, everything I see, I see in terms of light. Light completes the story of a photograph. It sets the mood, guides the composition, determines the colors, and elicits emotion. I will often come upon a scene and think; not today, the light isn't right and I imagine how the scene would look when the sun is in a different position in the sky - either by time of day or by season - or both. I take notes and often research these calculations using a couple of programs: The Photographer's Ephemeris and Photopils which plot the sun, moon, and stars position in the sky anywhere in the world on any given day. That way I can see where the shadows will fall, at any moment in time (so I know when to be there), and exactly where to position myself to get a desired outcome. The only variable then becomes weather. It has ruined more shots than not. But I love the chase! Glad to see my videos have opened your vision and your imagination. To the extent that I was disappointed at a potential missed opportunity. Turns out that it all worked out a couple of days later.
