To be honest as a Michigan fan I was worried about facing Penix and Washington. He is definitely a skilled quarterback. There are people that question his injuries and rightly so but I will say at indiana he did not have the best offensive line protecting him. When he made it to Washington he flourished. Hopefully he can have a healthy and successful nfl career with Washington.

I think the Patriots would be a great spot for Penix, and they should channel their inner Belichick to do it. The ideal scenario would be if the Giants would trade up to #3 (Maye?). Then they could trade the #6 pick to Minnesota (McCarthy) and pick up #23 in the process. Denver would be willing to move up to #11 (Nix) if they think the Raiders might jump over them. Then they could grab Penix at #12 while picking up extra picks (and at least one extra 2025 1st rounder). If neither the Broncos or the Raiders are willing to move up, they know they'll be able to get Penix later in the round. The Patriots can grab an OT there, or trade back a few spots if someone is worried they might miss out on their guy. With the right trades, the Patriots could come out of day 1 having drafted three players, a 2025 1st round pick, and few bonus picks later on.
