I love Seth... We don't have anything like him on a public stage in India. Funny. witty, humble and he has strong family values... all that and he is easy on the eyes. But the last thing is so shallow compared of all the wonderful real things he stands for... Thank for the humour Seth Meyers... And hi to Stefan hahahaha

The Colbert Show was more gritty and spicy, in comparison i feel like his current show is a sell out, which is fair to get some good money on his account, but therefor i only just watch now youtube clips and never the complette show anymore. I still like his humor, but many of his guest out of showbuisness i don't care for and i want to punch his band leader everytime he keeps interrupting with his laughing as if that would make something more funny ^^. Sams voice is a bitter pill to swallow at times :) i give you that, though i got used to it, but she is fearless, on point with rightousness paired with that voice is somewhat funny, not to speak of i would never want to be on her bad side hrhr. No no no, she is comparable with my worst nightmare waiting in a dark alley jumping out of the shadows just shouting "booo" and then running of laughing. I regularly get my dose from "oh she didn't" to "oooh yeah she did". Seth just seems to have a calming way i appreciate with so much bullshit in the news, while himself mostly having a rather clean humor, but then you get gems like Amber (says WHAT) which made me nearly fall of my couch first time i saw her and Seth incorporates many of his writers all the time which overall makes him very likeable in my eyes. Trevor is in some ways simmilar to Sam i think as for both it took some getting used to them but now i enjoy watching them. He has good eyes for the injustices and like with the former daily show you also get these reporter pieces now and then which always make it worth while.

I watch the 'A Closer Look' segments not only for the comedy, but also for the genuine commentary. This because, I don't put a whole helluva lot of attention on news conglomerates. Rather do I pick and choose certain comedians, reporters and pundits, that will garner my attention if it's apparent that what they're saying isn't playing into a larger, overall singular narrative. With Seth and folks like him, everybody is up for grabs, on both sides of the aisle -- and everywhere in between, really -- and they're all subsequently called out on their myriad levels of bull-roar. And, I like that very much!

@donna ford So tell me - what do you think are the genuinely positive policies and societal contributions that Trump has created for this country? Keep in mind that I believe the best way to eliminate the cancer that is you is to ask you genuine, serious questions about your beliefs, because either you leave without saying a thing because you're a troll and don't want to actually engage, you can't give an informed answer because you are informed by an ideologically cultivated media environment that values obsequiousness towards the political right in the US over objective fact, or it prompts you to actually think about what know and believe and your opinion changes. So again, tell us, everyone here - what good has Trump done for this country?

American humor can be VERY different to ours - Irish - but Seth and Colbert are consistently great. A touch apples and oranges, but their jokes and humor works very well with ours (Kimmel and others, however, tank; they don’t resonate here); we’re also very firmly embedded within American culture and politics, with caustic views of Trump and co that are pretty unforgiving of that awful oaf. So, Seth is fun to watch, and it’s interesting to get a peek behind the curtain at the man operating The Seth.

Linda Minton Well, Ms ‘Leftists are destroying America’, I’ll be doing more than ‘sticking to being Irish for a while’ - I’ve been Irish since my first breath, and will be to my very last. It’s just who and what I am; neither good nor bad, but just a fact. Curious that you’d be implying that I somehow have a wavering identity - that’s a stance than an egregious troll was similarly trotting out over the last week, so it’s odd that You pop up in a similar vein. Two in one week - what are the random odds of that? As for jibes about leprechauns - my, how droll.

Having a lot of pencils or pens gives some people confidence with their writing, or perhaps it confirms that they have ample writing instruments should they get on such a writing roll that they won’t run out of them.

I’m obviously super late to answer this question but he has all the pencils because he collects them. It’s something he’s done since he was a kid, and if I’m remembering correctly a lot of the pencils he keeps in his mug on his desk are like, special ones he’s had for a long time.

I don't know if it's the mic levels or the fact that Seth trails off at the end of lots of sentences and just sort of croaks at a low volume level--what's called "vocal fry"--something that used to be a thing just with younger women (listen to Kim Kardashian, for instance) but it's spreading.

He tried to cover the Israel Gaza massacre by only covering how Jared smiled during the new embassy opening meanwhile completely glossing over the issue. He consciously made the decision not to talk about it. That really showed his true character. I understand how comedians want to keep things light but he shouldn’t have brought it up in the first place. He completely whitewashed the tragedy. I don’t watch his show anymore unless Amber does her bit!
