If I'm being honest... when you were with Lauren, I thought you guys were the cutest couple. I was so sad when you guys broke up, because I thought you guys were perfect together. Now look where you are! With a perfect girl for you, who cares about you, and woah. Alex. I am so happy for you!!!! She's even better than the last! I am so glad to see you guys happy together! Hey Alex🌟 to answer your question as a daughter of a Jeweler and learning the ropes of the trade from my dad who’s had his own store for 25 years i would just like to say the reason they aren’t really pushing for Lab grown over Natural is because of its Resale value 🫶🏻 lab grown is great if you know y’all won’t ever need to sell it or pawn it off But almost instantly it loses the value from the moment y’all buy it where as a Natural Diamond always maintains the value it was or even raises over time! which would be great if you ever wanna pass it down to y’all’s kid and because of the way diamonds are formed each one is one of a kind and unique in its own way that can’t normally be seen to the human eye but if you have the equipment you can see the differences but there’s nothing wrong if you buy Lab Grown if that’s whats in your price range it’s to each their own :) hope this helps

My now current husband and I went ring shopping a few years ago before lab grown diamonds kicked off!! There was no bias and we got a lab diamond because of the price! It’s also more ethical and sustainable than natural diamonds which need to be mined for. Lab diamonds are still diamonds - they have the exact same properties. The only difference is how they grew! For day to day, no one can tell the difference between a lab/natural diamond! My advice would be to save the $$$ and spend it on your wedding (weddings are EXPENSIVE) or even honeymoon instead!

My husband went to Brilliant Earth and they taught him everything between lab grown and natural. Lab grown is typically cheaper but if you get natural the 5 Cs are important. The better the cut and clarity it will look just as nice as lab grown. But it’s all about preference and budget. My husband ended up getting a natural diamond with a hidden halo.

It’s actually the opposite. Naturally grown costs more. Lab grown is more cost effective vs. mining natural diamonds which takes a lot of labor and time.

Lab grown diamonds are in a way more sustainable BUT there is a lot of pollution created in the process of their creation in India and China Theres pros and cons to both but you should go with whats 1. More affordable and 2. What you feel is right!!

I think that we should normalize lab grown precious stones, b/c the alternative is mining for them, often in emerging countries, where locals are taken advantage of and harmed in pursuit of the almighty dollar. While lab grown diamonds will use materials that are recovered from the Earth, it's not the same as mining for precious stones.

Lab grown is more ethical. The history of diamond mining is pretty violent so it's recent popularity is due to finally having access to diamonds that don't have such bloody pasts. They actually lose money by recommending those over natural cuts so that's pretty rare/surprising. Either way, go with what feels best for you both and congrats on step 1 of the LexxLex legacy 🎉!
