My favorite videos of yours are the styling ones. It’s funny because I always find myself commenting, ‘Oh, I like this,’ or ‘Not that,’ or ‘That’s cute,’ or ‘The other one is better.’ Since I started watching your videos about three years ago, I think almost weekly I’ll catch myself randomly sitting down, staring at something, and then spending 15 minutes just judging and styling it-just so my eye has something beautiful to land on no matter which corner you’re in. The brown with olive/gray undertones makes the teal tile stick out like a sore thumb, whereas brown with red/orange undertones would work because using undertones that complement the teal will lessen the sharp focus on the tile overall (because it will look intentionally designed). Burgundy or tomato red (a shower curtain she created) , or brick, ochre, or brown-leaning eggplant would also pair beautifully with the teal. Ultimately, she needs to work with what is there, not against it. Kate is the consultant, and it was her job to educate her client that working against what can’t be changed will highlight the very feature they don’t want highlighted.

Personally I feel like a dark purple, almost leaning brown and more natural/neutral, paint color would look reallllyyy good against the aqua bath tiles instead. Still VERY moody and dark, but with a tone/color that works with the aqua tile instead of against it, while still staying true to your individual style. And then pair it with a lot of brown frames, the bath towel there would work perfectly already, even the pops of orange in the Frank Loyd Wright print would look really nice.. Also the Frank Lloyd Wright poster works in that spot really well as is, so as long as you have the bathroom like that I feel like you should definitely keep it. Bird rug is so fun too. Also a desk behind that couch is kind of perfection! I love a console behind a couch, but a desk is so functional? And if you find a desk that is absolutely perfect for you and your style, it could work even better. I love that desk, its really cool. A solid wood one would look fantastic too tho, with a cool chair. It just creates more opportunity to occupy your space, you could even sew from the desk. Lots of fun options. Love your home updates and vlog style videos so much, always are a highlight of my day!

Love the brown color for the bathroom and the red little mirror, not so much the placing of the small pic behind sink. You can add a small arrangement of dry flowers on top of the toilet seat. You have such pretty towels and they all looked good. Love your styling videos!

I have to agree with the other comments about you working against the teal :/ I think the green/brown/yellow tones just aren’t harmonious with the teal. I was playing around with colors and I honestly like the idea of a dark ochre yellow, and a foresty green together with the teal. It also sticks to the art deco vibe that was originally intended for the bathroom. Additionally I am not a fan of the artwork behind the faucet 😬 everything doesn’t need to be prop styled, and I think you need to show a little restraint from the need to put props everywhere. Of course it’s your home at the end of the day, I just wanted to offer some perspective 🫶🏼 *also patiently waiting for you to get rid of that black ottoman in the living room 😭 too many long rectangular pieces right beside each other

Paige I feel like you’re trying to make your bathroom into something it is not. I think this is evident from the constant shower curtain DYIs and swaps and you painting your bathroom now twice? I felt as if though I was the only commenter that did not like the initial plaid shower curtain DYI. The bathroom when you first moved in was a beautiful art deco styled room. I feel like the teal is what is really stumping you and leading you to make these constant and rash changes. It’s either that or you’re just itching for that designer high? I also don’t think the rug is very practical, is it meant to withstand getting wet? Can it be regularly washed?

I so agree with you! She is working against the bathroom’s DNA, that’s why it always ends up looking off. It is a sleek, elegant art deco bathroom with its beautiful pedestal sink and turquoise tile, and yet Paige is adamant on turning it into something resembling an English pub! Why?

Agreed. She needs to just go with the aqua and make it shine. It looks dull and fighting too hard to be something else. I feel she needs a palette cleanse. If this was a viewer's room she would tell them to work with it in a minute. But for herself she is somehow caught up in going with the familiar formula. I want her to do a no stripes, plaid, brown, challenge for herself.

I've had the same sort of limitation in my bathroom where the tile is not a colour that I would choose (peach) but it would be an expensive change especially when they're in good condition . I flirted with the idea of ignoring the tile and just painting it more of a "my style colour palette" but working with the limitation will ultimately make the room sing and tile not stick out like a sore thumb. I feel like the colour choice makes the room look very discordant. It's not that I dislike the style but it doesn't fit the space

Cool home updates! I like he MCM vibe of the desk.. especially the chrome legs… You have a lot of upholstered furniture in the room (soft plains) so it’s nice to see some contrast with the hard metal/chrome 💫

I would make the bathroom space age. The aqua tile would look nice with blue or orange (like international Klein blue or a cerulean). Add one of those round Kartell cabinets and some chrome/steel decor and done. Plus that vibe goes well with white as well. Also love the desk ❤

If you have art of any value, bathrooms and kitchens are too humid for them. The art will deteriorate at a much faster rate - oils, photos, etchings. It’s something I keep in mind.

Cheers from Paris! I barely comment videos, I on the whole like your style, but I have to say I am not surprised you repaint your bathroom. From the day you painted it, it was obvious that you were not 100% convinced, even though you kept saying you loved it (sometimes we need to convince ourselves...;-)). For me, this brown colour is still not a good idea, I bet you will change it again soon. Like other commentors, I think you should accept the syle of this bathroom and go with it, not against it. I also think the styling is not realistic at all, you do prop styling when you need realistic/practicality. This is a real home, not a magazine decor. Who puts a picture on a sink? It'll get wet non-stop, will need to be cleaned constantly... The thing on the toilet has no mean, completely lost. The little table with a magazine: prop styling again, no real purpose. Sometimes, we just need to leave things empty. And one thing strikes me: where are the obvious things we usually find in bathroom/toilets? Toilet paper? Cleaning stuff? A bunch of clean towels? Otherwise, I like the brownish colour palette of the rest of your home.

The towel is folded too thick, you have to take into consideration the use of the bar to dry the towel, so folded once and longways is better, which means it hangs to the table, and the table honestly I don't think fits there at all, I'd remove the table from the room and dont make the space so tight... it's already a very small space. The magazine will just look bad very quickly from the condensation.

Girl idk why you’re putting all of that stuff in your bathroom. The picture on the sink is so unnecessary and unsanitary. Having books in your bathroom is unsanitary too. Also the brown is not cute.

Consider cutting, sanding, and staining two pieces of wood to add to the bottom of your desk legs to raise the desk up rather than finding a lower chair. I think it might put you in better ergonomic position. And it would be fine if you pulled it the 5 inches off of the carpet to pull it away from your couch.

Paigeee love this type of content as well:) Your videos really feel like hanging out with a good friend:) but please place the rod on the wall high, before the tile, you can always let the green show by having it slightly open. The problem is the white tile... paint the mirror frame the same as the wall and remove the echer from the sick + FLW won't resist a lot of towel placements 😅 not sure about the table it will get all wet, love the birds, you can always just use a bath mat on top after showering.
