Waste Management- Oakland Hills Garbage Collection

Here's a video I've been pretty excited to post. A 2015 Autocar ACX McNeilus Rear Loader running a trash route in the Oakland Hills. This crew knows how to get shit done for sure, given that they were done around 10:30am. Not much else to say other than enjoy watching these guys knock out this trash route. Huge thanks to the crew for letting me film!

Nice work! I've definitely been looking forward to this! It's great to finally see someone get some quality Oakland footage. Personally I found the evolution of Cascades there interesting, not a fan of the brand new big logo ones. Back when I lived there in 2018 the new smaller logo 35s were popping up everywhere. Actually pretty neat to see a "Tiny Little Toter" on the tipper like that. Cool video!

YESSS!!! I have been waiting for this ever since the msl video! I have never seen a 20 gallon toter on a RL tipper This is an interesting collection method, kinda like republic in Piedmont The last time i saw a RL do wm trash in san leandro was in 2014 or '15 all the big logo cascades are the new 2021 ones at 7:25 what the heck a 35 gallon BLACK cascade? i thought they were for recycling!! wow. they are some of the rarest carts out here They haven't rolled in carts yet here right?

Yeah I was pretty exited to upload this one! It is similar to Piedmonts collection method, except these guys have it a little easier haha! Yeah I know those are the new cascades. They look ugly in my opinion. They're also really flimsy from what I've seen. I'm not sure how the black cascade ended up there, and I don't remember what street it was on.

The “black” cascade at about 7:35 is not actually black. It’s like a real dark brown. That dark brown was used for a short time in the Oro Loma Sanitary District in the San Leandro/San Lorenzo area for recycle. Their original oro loma recycle toters were that color for recycle and WM bought those cascades as replacements and quickly changed it over to the gray color we are used to seeing in that area. There are 30’s, 60’s, and 90’s of that color down in oro loma that can be found more commonly. That one just got put on a trash route due to a lazy or unknowing cart delivery driver.
