Hi Mam 👋 I have a doubt that some books refer the liver and large intestine as the excretory organs??? Plz guide me and clear my doubt...

Hey, sometimes the liver is referred to as an excretory organ because it removes bile pigments (like bilirubin which come from the breakdown of haemoglobin from red blood cells) and the large intestine excretes these pigments in the stool. These pigments give stool a brownish colour. But the actual stool, mostly made of undigested material, is said to be egested from the body rather than excreted. Hope that helps clarify things for you.

If cellulose is not digested then why we eat plants and how some plant leaves like mint cure us in indigestion?

Cellulose forms dietary fibre. It just passes through the digestive system without getting broken down by enzymes. That's why it's important to have a diet rich in fruits and vegetables (plant based foods)so we can have enough roughage (fibre) to ensure proper bowel movement and prevent constipation.
