One of the best setups I've seen so far. Keeping the wife happy. Women don't like mess, usually. I love the cone under the heating tank. Purging the sludge through a tap. Brilliant. The only improvement would be to have a glass viewing tube, perhaps an old wine bottle, somehow attached to the bottom of the metal cone, so you can see when it is full of gunk. And have the tap attached to the end of it, for draining, as you already have. Top system. I'm in the research and development phase at the moment.

You have put together a lovely set-up for filtering and storing your oil. It has certainly given me some good ideas about how to put together a similar arrangement for my biodiesel plant. Thanks and best wishes from Yorkshire in the UK.

I've just purchased a 2004 diesel Ford Ranger and am excited about installing the veggie tank and start making my own fuel. Thanks for the video.

Hey. I don't live in the states I live in the Caribbean. We seem to have a much wider selection of diesel vehicles down here then I see available in the states. I sold my Ranger about two months ago and bought a Toyota Hilux Surf, a fantastic SUV. Because it's so hot down here I haven't even bothered to put in an extra tank - str8 into the main tank. I added two inline filters on each side of the main fuel filter, throw a little injector cleaner every few hundred miles and my baby runs great.

Thank you for the advice. I may have to upgrade my pump as well. I have purchased a centrifuge and will need at least 90 psi to run at optimal speed.

Nice setup ! I will also be building something similar soon.. I'm converting my Gen 1 powerstroke right now... And I also will be filtering in my garage ! Thanks for sharing the video.

Hey there, I enjoyed watching your video for few reasons: you're a good narrator and understand who your audience is. You must be a fastidious individual and I can appreciate the neatness of your system. Garage space is most homes is premium and your WVO filtration plant optimizes this space very nicely. I don't even have a diesel car but your video is an excellent tutorial. Keep up the good work. Let me know if you did a video on the system in your Excursion. Cheers.

I do not see any answers so here are my 2 cents worth I think the cone for the drainage is a great ides and think it would work great but I would look into using an old water heater or at least the heating elements to heat the oil and I would definitely use an different set of filters for the finished oil to the tank line

I've been using SVO on my 02' F250 w/7.3DI also for the past 2 years. Nice video! I would of probably would of mounted the fill-in somewhere diff than the door jam just because of the accident spills and smell close to your sitting area. Thanks

By far the best all around system I've found on here so far. Thanks for sharing. I plan on replicating it to power my truck and farm tractor. The only question I have pertains to the size of the pipes you use. I found the pump that you use and it has 1" inlets and outlets. Is all of your piping 1" too? The only change I might make is to send the filtered oil through a separate diesel fuel filter and not back through your primary filter setup. I will also put in a water block filter to be extra safe about no water in the fuel. Thanks again for the inspiration.

One more thing- are you using the carbon or sediment filters or both, and in what combination? Seems the filter setup only comes in 3/4", which may answer my previous inquiry about pipe size. Are you simply reducing the pump from 1" to 3/4" then?

I like your set up. The one question I have is whether you are worried about not using lye and methanol to tranform your fuel into true biodiesel. are you worried about the effect free fatty acids will have on your fuel system and engine?

this is the cleanest set up I've noticed yet. Thanks for the video. I'm just now begining my journey to use wvo for alternative fuel. If you or anyone on here will help, when asking resturants about collecting their oil, are you selective on what type of resturant? For example a catfish joint other than a burger joint?

Nice clean set up. I'm currently building a shed to house a wvo filtering system in. I think I will copy your setup 100%. Can you tell me where to get a pump like that? also, might you have a diagram of the plumbing/valves? Nice job. Looks very professional. Scott in Maine

This looks like a great system. Do you have a list of everything you used that I could copy so I can build it as well? Approximately how often do you have to change your 20,10, and 5 micron filters?

Did anyone get a parts list from the OP? This seems like a simple enough setup and I'd love to throw this in my shed.

Hello, I see so many folks using wvo, I just got a conversion kit for my Mercedes 240 D diesel but I can't seem to find any restaurants that are willing to let me pick up the oil.... they all look at my funny and say "oh no, we have a contract"... what is the secret to finding a supplier?

Nice fueling system. I like your attention to detail without over engineering. One question if you dont mind. In ur Excursion, you run straight WVO? Didnt know if the ford pump would be effected or the hoses damaged. Do you add any additives to your WVO tank? Thanx for your time. Cheers

Nice work and advice..thanks! I am hoping to build a similar setup but portable.. The only problem i see is i will be entering the filtration system at about 170 degrees.. I have radiator heat ex-changers going in before the filters. Do you see a problem with that? Anyways, thanks for your post.

I like how clean your system is. I am using the same pump in my system. I am having trouble with the presure out of the pump. It tends to be moreor a drible than a flow. Do you have any sugestions. Water runs at the 300 gal per/hr. Any advise?

One last question. Your 3 stage filtration kit can you provide a link to the who makes the kit and the filters? Really great design. For the pump that goes into the car, does that run off your northern tool pump or is it just gravit that allows you to pump it into the suv. Thanks!

Very nice and clean setup! I would like to know about your filters, are they standard 2.5 x 10 inch? How long do they last? Is there any strong smell of wvo in your garage? Thanks!

hi. Im loving the set up. I am currently buying new vege oil cheaper than diesel . It is stll expensive. So I am going to copy your design. i have found a restaurant who has waste oil for me. I seen it. It very dirty. White and gloupy. Kept outside in a big drum. How do you collect your waste oil. Do you have some sort of moble pump to pump from the waste drums in the restaurants?

Don't you think a floating hose would be better to pump the oil? The level the pump is plugged *may* take some of the goo in the very bottom. Why taking the risk? (also when you are busy, which i understood was your case, you are more subject to make errors, such as forgetting to let the goo out.... or whatever)

Are you using your wvo straight into your auto fuel system or did you do a dual system conversion? I have been wondering for a while now if purging actually works since I wouldn't think diesel would be very effective against cleaning glycerin from the lines, etc. How often do you need to change your cleaning filters? How often for your auto fuel filter? I also have a 7.3L and am researching methods.
