InternalxHD if your on PC that’s why , consoles on the other hand have a shit ton of glitches on this game I’ve found some good and bad ones and ones that are annoying. Iv found a glitch that allows you to have 8 people at one time . I have a character model glitch that makes an annoying sound. And game crashes sometimes when I open an inventory

Awesome build. Little tweak if you take animal whisperer and save the cat at the beginning you get 6% crit chance from it if you go a little bit more into animal whisperer it goes up to 12% but you might sacrifice another skill for it

I would just focus on sniper since you won't be close to anyone to properly use pistols. Deathwish gives you two shots which I have found to be very powerful, because your in the back you never get hit, so armor is not important. And as you said focus on crit damage.

Man I can't remember if ever played such complex and incredibly well written game like wasteland, where your decision are actually meaningful and can potentially kill whole story lines. Like seriously, I was used to the mainstream Bethesda garbage and having played this(which I didn't even wanted to play to begin with because of the turn based isometric combat) really opened my eyes as to why I didn't finished fallout 4 even though it was 1 person shooter and why I didn't found most of the quests engaging.

Also I never thought I'd like crpgs, the turn based combat was a big turn off at the beginning the only reason I tried wasteland a try is because I heard it was made by the original creators of the fallout franchise and let me tell you this, man was I wrong with my dumb assumption, I started to love the turn basd combat and not to mention the incredibly deep lore and great quest design these games usually have, I think I might just have found my favorite genre

Yo, I gave my sniper the quirk where they go into overdrive when a squad member gets downed and its super worth it. The sniper can take 2 shots and still move a good distance, or take one shot and completely reposition him/herself on the screen. With the massive damage a sniper can do you can take out 2 enemies in one turn really helping to turn the tide in your favour

I find kind of a waste investing in small arms with your sniper, if the enemy gets to your sniper's position when you have 6 characters there is something you're not doing right. Also you can create up to 4 custom characters, I do believe the first aid goes better in your tanky melee character (maxxed out speed) since it will always be moving around and has a low cost to dmg output, besides that I would say go big guns on your medic, flamers are really strong

Playing death wish sniper on the hardest difficulty here.. So far (10h in) it's pretty damn good. Haven't died once. We'll see how it goes later in game.

I use serial killer quirk and kill 2 targets with my rifle per turn right from the start. If I am moving I may only get in one kill, but I usually store 2 AP for my next turn unless the situation calls for different. My 2nd starter is a high evasion/tanky melee unit that draws the attention and the enemies struggle to hurt. I have had 6 target him and barely do any damage while my sniper drops them fast. I also made an assault rifle focused medic to assist my tank when it is rarely needed and a heavy weapon secondary tank that makes sure nobody gets to my sniper. It's been a while since my sniper has seen damage.

I've been enjoying this build but I don't really see the need for pistols. I'd rather min/max. Gut all stats since I've been playing with the recommended coordination and always had a 2-3 useless ap points per turn.

tbh if you can get rad shield level 3 from Energy Complex (requires fighting a Scorpitron) you can buy a sniper stronger than Red Dragon; The Eliminator dmg 241-381 .50 cal ammo sniper rifles 9 required source vendor Cheebus in southwest part of map (Monster Army wandering vendor won't appear if not "Liked") uses the model for an Anti-Material rifle.

Any chance you'll post a 'Gunslinger'/small arms build soon? I feel like all the other archetypes (sniper, tank, big arms, skill mule etc. etc.) are a lot easier to build in comparison. Whereas, I have absolutely no idea, which attributes to prioritize and which to sacrifice for a Gunslinger type build. Coordination, Charisma, Int, and Awareness all seem like they should be prioritized, and since small arms have poor range, 'some' speed and strength are likely also required. Anyway, looking forward to more builds.

You can go for small arm explosives and medic, max intellect, then coordination and awareness some strengh and speed. Get a revolver with the 'unload' or 'quick shot' skill and a shotgun for the destroy cover perk. Tier 7 Perk small arms makes Rocket Launchers and Crossbows (automatic weapon) , a no brainer.

there is an item in the game that gives you a skill called combat shooting which can massively increase your crit rate. IIRC it increases it by 50%

Okay.... I am slightly confused. You say invest four points into Coordination... Is that with the two points already in there...Or four more on top of the two already invested? Because your later screenshots only show 4 total points

After many tries, I disagree with small arms. First aid is better as your 3rd skill, you can fire one sniper shot and then one medical dart to heal your tank.

It appears that you can create as many new rangers as you want and they come out at an average of all your chars. I was thinking about recreating all of my Rangers with Int at max to really get all the skill points I can. Seems at lvl 10 it's pretty easy to have it maxed with decent points in awareness and coordination.

Don't underestimate charisma on a sniper. Precision strike + mark = dead boss.. Killed the scorpitrons in 1 shot.

Get animal to level 5 and get that perk, then tame a cat and you get +12% crit chance.

I think it's a bug, but only 1 person needs that perk, one you move to a different area the pets on non perk5 people get upgraded.

Not sure the builds you recommend are actually viable in supreme jerk difficulty. The lack of evasion and relying too much on bullets can cause dead ends in the early to mid game.

@@JB-xl2jc if you lack ammo in W2 you are doing something wrong, like killing easy raiders who have almost no HP with expensive sniper ammo. By the time you go to Damonta you will be loaded with ammo.

I think medical marvel is bugged because if I die I can't revive my teammates outside of combat. I got stuck in colorado springs because it wouldn't let me leave to doctor in ranger hq without all my teammates, and I couldn't afford nitro spike. Had to reload and take a different quirk :/

If you fire before combat starts you don't get the Serial Killer bonus for killing anyone since you are not in combat. That's why I didn't list it.

This is an underwhelming build - having a dedicated sniper with good positioning is superior. The small arms investment seems to be there only for the Draw perk which I don't think is enough of a draw to justify it.

agreed, small arms are good for snipers only in early game, latter its much more efficient to take 2nd rifle with different type of damage or ammo. Better to take Animal Whisperer with perks and run around with a cat instead for additional crit chance and damage from the pet.
