Reminds me so much of Godspeed You! Black Emperor. A beautiful soundtrack to an amazing game, conveying emotions of hope, strength, intrigue, sadness, and loss all at once. Hats off to Mr. Montgomery, and thank you for this upload.

edwinmontgomery Sorry, I've never heard of Godspeed, but I love this soundtrack to death. It really melds well with the atmosphere the game is conveying, making it all the more enjoyable. The main theme, highpool, quarts, base chochise and the ballad of Faran Brygo are probably my favorites amongst the soundtrack. Thanks for your effort man. ;)

Even if you did not play the game for too long, the original layout is a classic, with those weird names, Thrasher, Snake Vargas, Angela Deth, and Hell Razor, and then, silence. There is something magical in just that visual.

I have the original rerelease of the game that came with wasteland 2, it just cycles through all the songs when you play. I haven't played the other versions or the remaster. I'm assuming the song plays when you fight Faran Brygo.

So was there music in the original game from the 80s? I want to play this game in its definitive version, not with all of the enhancements steam might've given it. I just don't think he commodore 64 was capable of playing these sounds, I might be wrong tho. If it was originally played with no sound I'd like to know.
@Firiun7 жыл бұрын
The original was completely silent aside from a few beeps and bloops.

Playing "the definitive version" might be very difficult. A large part of playing games from this era (even well into the 90s) was reading the manual that came with it. WL even specifically tells you to read certain paragraphs when you reach parts of the game, because there was just too much text to fit into the game. The manual even had fake stories just to mislead players reading ahead. That's not something that can be easily achieved unless you physically have the manual to go with your copy of the game.
