I have a question bud. At my plant we are having trouble running Clean water when olive oil is used at the food processing plant. I feel our Coag isn’t able to give the water a neutral charge and resulting in our effluent almost lookin like milk???

Doggz, this is a tough one. Olive oil like many oils is a non polar covalent bonded particle Normal coagulants work by using an ion site on the molecule and binding/neutralizing the charge which makes tiny particles less tiny and more likely to flocculate with other particles. Oils are not the same molecularly, there are no charge sites available on the molecule, That’s the extent of my knowledge on your problem. I suggest talking with your chemical sales rep and asking about products available for removal of non polar oils.

There is really a channel for everything on KZbin. What kind of centrifuge do you use?

Sir would you tell me what that dripper was on the tank at the first 40 seconds? Why does it exist? Nocardia foam?
@WastewaterOperationsChannel4 жыл бұрын
Mahdi hey thanks for watching! That’s just a sprinkler typically used for irrigation, in this case we use the sprinkler to help knock down and move any float-ables to the outside edge of the tank where it can be removed by the skimming system.

What was sprayed in the background at the beginning of the video?

Those sprinklers are spaying the surface of clarifiers.

I believe it's just water , helpful in case of sludge bulking to the surface, when you hose it with water is goes back to the bottom of the clarifier @@WastewaterOperationsChannel can correct me if I'm wrong
