Thank you for sharing your working day with us. I love the shape of your soup bowls and also the method of decoration. I'm going to make some soups bowls following your style this week - it is just the weather for hot soup! 🍲🍲

Thanks again for this video! Even in autumn the mountain view is just wunderfull! So much green even in november and it still have some warm and gentle sunlight. I should send you a picture of my view out of the window.....😅 I am also everytime amazed how clean your workshop is.🙂 And of cause the teacups,bowls and plates are wonderfull too! Do you have to work all day 10 hours or do you also have some kind of weekend?!

Thank you so much! Yes. It’s not snowing here yet. We barely see snow in the winter. I work 8-9 hours in weekday, and I also work in the weekend when I have times.

@@WatajimaPottery Ahhhh... i see that sounds very hard! But you love what you are doing right?🙂🧡💙 So are you born in a family of potters or was it your own decision to be a potter? Sorry for so much questions!😅 I am living in a big city and working in a very artificially place with no sunligth or plants. So i am just curious about the way a craftsman lives in pure nature.💚

Thank you so much! Yes, I am enjoying pottery as my lifework. I'm not from potter family, so I started by myself since I am interested in pottery.

On this day, I finished the process up to drying without firing those works, but I will fire them on a later date.

Hi from İstanbul What are biscuit and glaze firing degrees What is the reason red clay change colour turn grey İs there any differend material in the slip 😊
@WatajimaPottery Жыл бұрын
Thank you for your comment. Bisque firing is around 900℃ and glazing firing is 1245℃. It turns grey when the glaze contains lots of feldspars. I didn’t add any colors to the white slip.
