Little Rock was right on the edge of totality. Good enough I suppose if you're not mobile, but we went west to Happy Bend and it lasted over 4 minutes. Each moment a treasure. It was worth the drive.

How dark did it actually get? Like night? _Twilight???_

@@TheBlinked1 Yes, a lot like 9 PM in the summer. Only you could see the "sunset" all around you if you were in a place with good visibility. I was much more focused on the eclipse itself than looking around at how dark it was. One thing I thought would happen but didn't was that I was expecting to see a big black wall of death coming at us from the horizon. That didn't happen. The horizon was at 98% when we were at 97%. It was a gradual thing until the last second. And by then we were looking at the sun to see the last sliver of sun go away.
