of course they don't stereo pair with other types. The whole idea of stereo is to split signal to EQUAL sources.

I already own two echo 3 which paired sound infinitely better than single units. I also have a studio which sounds solid, especially with Amazon’s HD subscription. My thing is now the new echo4 is out I’m wondering is it worth replacing my current echo pair setup with the newer speakers or, for similar money getting a second Studio as this speaker wasn’t upgraded in the latest event. Does the Studio paired increase as noticeably as the regular echo speakers when paired and does the ‘stereo’ setup then affect 3D audio? Cheers

Are you able to make “Stereo Pair” of both the Echos and the E. Studios? I Ave separate sets of matching Echos but the app only allows one “Stereo Pair”. Am I doing something wrong? I have attempted to ask Amazon but the Amazon Tech can’t seem to grasp that I would like a terror pairing in my living room, an another in my basement den. Thus, the Tech just dodges my questions. I wish I had your excitement about Amazon, Alexa, and Echo. I too have spent too much only to be disappointed at every turn. I have two Echo 4th Gens, I had hoped to match up with my one studio for a 2.1 sound system. That cannot be done. Question, should I purchase a Echo Sub to complete the 2.1 or purchase a second Studio and just pair them? Oppps, but wait, them I would be asking the app for three “Stereo Pairs”. Snap, it is just the Amazon money pit.

As long as they are matching models you are able to set up multiple stereo pairs using the plus button in the top right corner of the Alexa app. I have a stereo pair in my room, and also one in the living room. You can even go a step further and ask alexa to "play everywhere" and it will play on all of your Alexa speakers even if they are of different models. I was able to play music through my 2 alexa studios and 2 alexa echo pluses at the same time.... so you can't technically stereo pair them, but you can group them and have them play at the same time

This thing is a piece of junk. I purchased it as a 2nd bluetooth speaker for my Smart TV. It would not sync. I purchased the optical cord and connected it that way. It worked for a few days last night it just stopped working. I cant reset it. It will no longer make a sound. I regret my purchase.
