You don't need to shake the watch like that. Just wind it clockwise with the crown NOT pushed in. About 40 winds will start the watch, then screw down the crown.

They have just released a new 40mm version with an NH movement. I’ve ordered that so looking forward to seeing what’s it’s like. Assuming the movement works well I might put it on a leather strap and hopefully will solve most of the issues. Definitely helpful to know to avoid the 36mm one with the other movement. Thank you.

The movement issue may just be that the spring is totally unwound. This watch can be wound by hand with the crown. Just unscrew it until it pops out and then wind it clockwise about 40 or so turns. It will noticeably start to bind up when it's fully wound and if you wind it next to your ear you can clearly hear the difference when it's fully wound. I, like almost everyone in the comments, love mine. Zero issues, perfect quality control. BIG EDIT! I've had my first one for about 4 weeks. It was perfect until it died today. I took it off to take a shower, it was running fine. When I got out of the shower it was dead. It was just sitting on the counter and died. It's fully wound. I'm stumped on what the problem could be. I'm wondering if it could be overwound. I'm going to see if I can return it (even though I've heard that is a total nightmare) and if not, I'm going to make this another build and replace the movement with a better ETA movement. I have two of these now, stainless with green dial and stainless with meteorite dial, and the green one is the dead one. I just got the meteorite dial yesterday. It is stunning. I just hope it lasts more than a month!

How has it been? Is the second one holding up? I ordered the 36mm meteorite Seagul movement but now I'm reading it breaks fast. Should I have gone for the 40mm NH36a?

@@JeanPierreBro I haven't had any issues with my meteorite dial DD36 watch. It's been great since I bought it. I'm sure it's just a typical lack of quality control coming out of China.

@@zeusp2077 It won't take a Seiko movement. These watches have been around long enough now that you can find them on sale for +/- $50. Just wait until you find a sale and get 1 or 2. My meteorite dial watch is still working great, by the way.

Wow… the movement is terrible?! Pagani told me the ST16 movement doesn’t hack?! The second hand jumps 5sec when you push it in. It’s not every time but it’s closer to 50% of the time it’s a Hacking function doesn’t work but I appreciate someone doing an actual honest review of this watch…. Every other reviewer is saying it’s a great watch and recommend you buy it lol

This is my second PD 1752, the bezel of the first one wasn't pressed down onto the head properly, the crystal was not quite flush with the bezel, the date and day were not bang in the middle. Now, for an €85 watch one cannot always expect everything to be always flawlessly put together. What does one do? Send the watch back, get a refund and order a new one. The second watch is perfect. It's not as if we're talking Seiko, Hamilton or Tissot here, let alone Tudor or Rolex, so manage your expectations.

The Pagani overall is super, but that movement... the reason I've bought the Cadisen one, even with the 22mm watch strap, it looks good, especially on bigger wrists. The cyclops is the flaw, to be honest, and it's cheaper! 😀

I think this is the 2nd faulty movement PD1752 on yt. Luckily my light blue one is totally fine, also I think I have a slightly different clasp as mine doesn't have the divers extension. I'm also lucky that it fits my tiny wrist (6.15 inches) after removing all the removable links. I can't recommend this to people with 6 inch wrists, maybe 6.25 to 6.5 inch is okay.

Tom, you're my hero of the day. I watch a lot of watch reviews and no one, NO ONE ever mentions how many links can be removed on metal bracelets and how small a wrist it'll work with. Thank you for saving me the trouble of trying to figure it out by zooming in on the bracelet and guestimating how many links can be removed. (Last week, I emailed a watch manufacturer and they were unable to tell me. Go figure.)

I couldn't disagree more, looks like you have a dodgy movement or you haven't wound the spring enough. I have one with the green dial and it runs between 2 and 3 second fast a day so excellent time keeping. The case is very good quality for the price as are my other 8 Pagani Design watches and i have the newer version clasp without the driver's extension making it far superior to the clasp they used to use on their submariner watches. Pagani used to have some quality control issues with their older watches with bezels not aligning 100% (i have two with such issues) but for watches between £50 - £100 Pagani are extremely great value and i would definitely recommend their watches.

@@WatchesChecked Probably just a coincidence but another youtuber had the same problem u have, and he's got a blue dial as well. Btw tiffany dial is a bomb in person, and everybody buys it. But from what I saw no one buys green and it's looking better than blue if you look around for some actual photos

If you like a day date but aren't locked into this overall look I would go with a Hamilton Khaki King. I know a bit more expensive (approx. 4×) but still affordable ... plus Swiss brand, movement 80hr power reserve etc. I do have the Pagani Datejust homage, with NH35, which I like and the Hamilton which I just got fills my day date fix (plus the sunburst champagne dial means it can be worn as a dress watch too).

The thickness is just another reason for fitment of a VH31 mecaquartz rather than the hopelessly outdated auto movement. I live in hope that the fad for autos will die out. My new autos are not just inaccurate but the level of inaccuracy changes as the watch goes from fully wound to run down.
