I have tried this bag on yesterday and didn’t look good on me. You’re right, it is too bulky. Very expensive for a canvas piece, the canvas is thin and soft, I don’t know if it gonna last long. I’m very interested in the pink monoglam but not available now. Maybe I should wait for the pm to come out to see if it looks better. Thanks! Merfy for the review.

Gorgeous bag! Can't decide between black leather or monogram. I think the monogram is more casual but I love leather. I ordered the tan leather and returned it as the color ws very different and unique but it felt very dressy and would be limiting with what you could wear with that color.

Yesterday I bought the Pochette Métis Emprinte Latte colour at Vendome LV. My daughter got the Christmas Animation Felice. Of course it’s the Paris Vendome edition. So excited shopping in Paris. Both are very different but if you’re using it 5-10 years down the line, then go for carryall as side trunk is a fashion bag

Thank you for doing a video on the new Side Trunk, which I've been eyeing for a few weeks now. I have been trying to get an answer to the following question, asking a few SAs in different LV stores and even calling LV client service, and I keep getting different answers. Do you know if the vachetta on the monogram canvas version is treated? If it is, would it still continue to darken/patina?

It is treated in a way that is has been slightly darkened compared to the other classics. However, it will still darken as is doesn't have protective coating on it as compared to other leather finish

Yes. It is treated more than raw cowhide leather, but it’s a very mild vegetable tan, vs a chemical treatment used on other leathers. Therefore it will still continue to darken and it will also be subject to water stains, etc.

@@andreaaudino2189 yes. It will protect it providing it is applied properly and evenly. Note: LV doesn’t cover repairs on pieces that are improperly used or applied.
