Kristy Hayward and what’s the difference? It’s an attempt to hide crappy writing by giving the audience a better queue for laughing. The producers employ people that tell that live audience to show enthusiasm and laugh harder whenever they’re not trying hard enough.

@@meg3422 I know. I just find it funnier when it's more relatable. I work in healthcare, and most shows don't even come close to even capturing the essence of working a floor. Scrubs and That 70s Show are notable exceptions, though.

I'm confused Patricia Heaton quit doing more seasons of The Middle for this? And Neil Flynn doesn't look like he is having much fun doing a supporting character for Abby's on NBC. The Middle should have gone for two more seasons like Modern Family. This show reminds me when Justin Kirk did Animal Hospital on NBC playing a Veterinarian post-Weeds the show flopped and was cancelled mid-season. Why end things that work to experiment with untested projects that tend to flop? More so in a cord-cutting era where it's harder for networks to draw and keep eyes for scripted sitcoms.

The Middle was a better show. I watch both in reruns but to me she's Frankie Heck before she's Debra Barrone. Not sure about this new show. It sort of felt stiff and not that funny. Will give it a chance though
