Trump lied all day. His biggest lies were that Pelosi destroyed evidence and that she turned away the offer of the National Guard on Nov 6. By law, the speaker of the house has no control over the military. Trump could have stopped the mob at any time in the 3 hours that he enjoyed watching the violence on TV, but he waited until it became obvious that his insurrection was going to fail and Pence was not going to be hung.
