Kary Mullis was a biochemist with controversial beliefs. For example, he did not believe that HIV caused AIDS and favored taking LSD as a mind- expanding experience. He actually synthesized the drug for himself and credited using it with the development of the PCR technique for which he won the Nobel Prize. I don't know the context in which you say he was discrediting Fauci, but it couldn't have been the current pandemic because he died in 2019. I'm curious why you would put more faith in him that an ivy league MD with years of training and experience in immunology?

As a health care worker, my colleagues and I noticed patterns in the way COVID was spreading and affecting people. We were all in agreement that there was absolutely no way this was natural. It had too many specific qualities that led us to believe it was engineered in some way. Also, as someone who's had COVID more than once, I am angered that all this is going on as I have been dealing with symptoms ever since. My life is changed. I've had to make lifestyle changes. My overall quality of life has suffered. I would greatly enjoy if the truth finally came out and somebody was held responsible. It's been 2 years, I am not going to get better. Dr. Paul is citing professionals and articles while Dr. Fauci doesn't refute the facts. Multiple well respected research doctors confirm the definition of "gain of function". Fauci is denying the defintion used and even used it in his own internal e-mails

Did you listen to the exchange? Paul’s point is arguing that NIH was funding gain of function research, that potentially could result in something like what we saw happen with the pandemic. Fauchi is saying, but it didn’t result in the pandemic so it’s okay. Paul is saying NIH still funded something they weren’t allowed to fund, and Fauchi said under oath they never funded it. Even if it was a mistake, Fauchi won’t admit they funded it. He had a chance to clarify by saying, “when I testified before I thought the question was regarding the Covid-19 virus. I wasn’t aware that one of our grants had then be sub-granted out to another lab that was illegally doing gain of function research.” However, he didn’t do that. Why? Congress should be providing oversight to unelected government agencies and holding them accountable. Especially when we have people who want “experts” to make all our policy decisions. What do you do when the experts make a mistake?
